So i am gonna take a crack at painting this stuff tomorrow does anyone have any tips on painting the heads? I have a lot of experience painting Games workshop type models and im thinking the style of highlighting wont apply well to 1/6.

I never painted a thing until I got the v.2 deadpool sculpt. I just used a red and black acrylic paint and did multiple coats of it and topped it off with a semi-gloss varnish. I'm really happy with how it turned out:

Good job. A drop of yellow in the red will bring it closer to the suit.

Ah thanks man yea i was mixing some whites and more orangy reads and i couldn't match it. maybe i will try it again or save it for your 4.0 sculpt!

Use Testors but the best is Tamiya. I used these:

Looking at the auction, I bought them on the 17th, they were processed in Hong Kong post office on the 21st, arrived in US on the 22nd. But for some reason got held up in Los Angeles. They were delivered on the 30th.

So one day to cross the Pacific, and a week to go 150 miles down to San Diego.

The sucker punch ones are nice, but didn't want to spend $20+ each. Actuall bought 3 different pairs of katanas because I'm doing two Deadpools...will probably sell the pair that I decide no to use.

My WIP. Pretty happy considering I don't have a clue what I am doing. Some things I like a lot, some things still need work. I figured the straps would be my biggest hurdle.

Not sure what I am doing painting the heads, so pretty happy with those so far. The red head is pretty much done except some very minor touchups. Grey head is too dark, and the eyes aren't painted yet.

I've got a crapload of weapons for them, so they'll be decked out when finished.

Question - has anyone bought any of these? I thought these would look really cool scattered around at their feet. I'm not finicky enough to care if they are the right bullets to go with the guns they are holding.

Looking good man, yea I'm about to work on my harness now too. I'm taking a leather y strap cutting it apart and then adding the resin bits to it we shall see how that goes.
