It's much smaller than the Sideshow hobbit heads, though. And I find mine barely squeezes onto the SS hobbit neck. The neck articulation is non-existent; the battle is just to get it attached and sitting at the right level.

I think if you pose Bilbo next to a Sideshow Frodo or Sam, you'll see what I mean. The ToyBiz figures have smaller heads, and the same was true of Gimli. Unless Erick does a Gimli, I'll probably go with the DiD one instead. I have the enhanced version of the TB one that someone here did with the nice long beard, but I ultimately backed off from using it when I compared it to the Sideshow hobbitses.

I didn't realize people would actually object to Erick doing Bilbo, but as you all seem so intent on crushing it, I'll back off. Bilbo is not part of the Fellowship, so I can live without him, and I guess Erick can only do so many projects. He's certainly got others that interest me more, and as long as we get Merry and Pippen, I'll be happy.

No offense taken, Pix. He really has more suggestions than he can do, so it just might muddy the waters for projects more people care more about. It was an offhand suggestion. Nada bigdeal.

I won't take any orders for this because a) my mother-in-law recut the jackets. She has since returned to her home 8000 miles away. I don't have a clue how to do that stuff. b) those I did it for had to wait a loooooooooooong time before I was able to get them done. c) the dye job is really easy if you just take a saturday afternoon to do it.

I'll post a tutorial on the dye work later today (or tomorrow).

I just won a Frodo on ebay for $41 after shipping for kitbashing him into either hobbits! The circle is now complete.

So excited!!!

The guy turned out to be legit!, so now the circle is really complete, got my frodo waiting for the heads!
