They are dyed AND the cut has been altered (ie Merry's lapels lengthened and Pippin's jacket shortened).

What is the best way to dye them, and what dye should I use? I've heard guys talk on here about the "RIT" brand dye. Please let me know. Thanks. :wave

I recognize some of the costume pieces, but where did you find that great head sculpt? Is that a commissioned piece?

After Merry and Pip, old Bilbo is next on my list. Any info regarding the recipe you used would be much appreciated!

Its Toy biz head, I just repainted it.

I thought it might be, but it just looked so much better, I thought it must be something else. I presume the red vest is from the same TB figure then.

Hell of a repaint, btw... looks great now! Thanks for the tip, I've got a TB Bilbo in storage somewhere who's due for an upgrade.

I just won a Frodo on ebay for $41 after shipping for kitbashing him into either hobbits! The circle is now complete.
