One minor thing, is the strap through the buckle meant to be that long? I wonder if it would look better a little shorter?

Yeah maybe. I would need really good pics. You got some?

Also figuring out how to construct it. The satchel was easier because I had the Aldo version to reference. Also I was lucky to find the correct material.
