Re: The Name is Connery, Sean Connery.

Great pictures guys! I honestly liked the way that Connery appeared in all of his Bond movies so I have no preference. (Yes, that also means DAF and NSNA :lol)

Re: The Name is Connery, Sean Connery.

Guys, I think this is the ideal smirk for the head, and we should talk to yunsil about a future custom project: The White tux, can you guys imagine how awesome would be the BBkill's Connery with the three piece suit side by side with Rocco's Smirk Connery with a white tux, the dream of all bond fans...and thanks gido for find this amazing photo

Re: The Name is Connery, Sean Connery.

Need to say I wanted smirking Connery with lifted one eyebrow, like in iconic drawings, but I didn't found even one photo with such look.Seems to me his lifted eyebrow smirk look is mostly for after Bond times...If anybody have such Bond pics, please share.

Re: The Name is Connery, Sean Connery.

You have to imagine the sculpt though, gido. Sometimes a great idealized expression doesn't read on a hard sculpture. A momentary expression can look strange when its frozen in time, as we've seen so many times. Can you really have that expression you posted above when your figure is just standing on your shelf, arms down? Or posed firing his gun?

The "smirk" is a tough one, might work or might not... but compounded with the arched eyebrow there might just be too much stuff going on in the face and he could look like caricature. Less is generally more when it comes to sculpts.

I think it just will show his ironical self confidence in any situation or pose.Do you think Malone sculpt looks wierd?I really hoped for such styLe young Connery

Not sure I see a defined smirk there, but with sculpts of older characters some of the 'action' wrinkles get lost in the character's wrinkles.

I agree with Owl, usually best to leave the work to the artist.

:lol To say that you move fast would be a serious understatement! That is one very beautiful sculpt Rocco. :)

Re: The Name is Connery, Sean Connery.

Bravo, Rocco! BRAVO!

I think gido may have even gotten his arched eyebrow in there. :) Can't wait to see the casting.

Will be getting this and the Moore head (waiting on project confirmation first).
