I actually wouldn't be opposed to Iminime taking a crack at Torrance either. The reasons that I favor Rainman doing this is because of what he's bring to the table outfit and accessory wise. We already saw with Bateman that Iminime could produce the axe to the highest quality, but I think Rainman is the guy for the job when it comes to the typewriter, bottle and drink glass. Sil's outfit would likely be a touch better than Iminime's also.

Exactly, Amsterdam's outfit is very very unique and so is his weapon, arm brace, that stuff can't be made by everyone, Rainman would kill it! But I'd love Torrance too, just Torrance has been done (not rm quality of course) and will be done again, I've never seen an Amsterdam

I'm a huge GONY fan and I enjoyed Dicaprio in it but there is nothing about that character that is even remotely memorable. His weapons? his outfit? You'd be hard pressed to even find someone who can "quote" off the top somthing cool he said from the movie :lol you know typical fan stuff. None of it stayed with fans but Bill....well we all know how we feel about that. Dicaprio as Candie was shocking, controversial, offensive ala Tarantino, fun and interesting. More importantly we get to move on as opposed to staying on the same subject. Bill says everything and anything you would ever need to know about GONY.

Torrance has been done because it's impossible to deny how great a character that is, but like you mention it's never been done as tasteful as it deserves to be. It's time for Rainman to put an exclamation point at the end of that.

Well to each his own.. but I don't need to quote a character like you say to enjoy his presence on screen or performance or even how badass he looked, I like Leo, I like Amsterdam, he will pop on a shelf, he will look unique so thats my vote haha but we all know it is Rainman who picks...:wink1:

There's a list of very clear reasons why you've seen several companies interested in producing Torrance and you've never seen an Amsterdam.

Of course to each their own though. I may have been enticed if this were an Enterbay or Blitzway offering for those type of MSRPs, but at RM numbers... the character himself didn't move me enough to warrant it

What other companies are and aren't interested in doesn't matter to me, and ultimately my opinion doesn't matter really to anyone but myself but my reasoning behind wanting Amsterdam has nothing to do with whether another company will or won't ever make him, it is that Rainman would kill it just like figures such as "Stuart Little" "Willy Wonka" "Anton Chigurh" "Bill Cutting" These are all figures most companies would never touch but he handled them so amazingly that they are all now known as great figures. I can just picture a 1/6 Amsterdam on my shelf in that weathered final battle outfit with his leather harness, battle ax, leather wrist brace, slicked back hair and it looks all sorts of badass! :rock

But this is all futile talk right now, I am just anxiously waiting Bickle and the announcement of his next figure, I am sure no matter what it is it is going to be awesome!

I'm with ya, I have no doubts in my mind that the accessories and outfit will be pure works of art. I just wish he was tackling a character with more substance. That's just my own opinion and whoever else shares it with me. I'm sure that there will be a following for this character, but I can't see it getting the same level of attention that the majority of the rest of his portfolio commanded.

How about we combine forces and work to get a Rick Moranis Spaceballs Dark Helmet made? :hi5:

This would be too cool!

i think Torrance should be next and my argument isn't that Amsterdam should go next or not.

I just don't want it out of the discussion

Great points on Amsterdam and CC were made.

i agree LDC presence was real good only that it was swallowed up by DDL performance as Bill.

Amsterdam next to a RM Bill or any of the many bashed Bills out there would look amazing!

im sure those not interested in Amsterdam wouldn't mind the break.

Most people who don't want Torrance want him to be next and most people who don't want Amsterdam want him to be next. Everyone is welcoming a break :lol

Hoping for something original, a figure that has never been made.

And maybe even never be remade.

Something non violent would be great for a chance.

I guess these don't technically constitute as "non-violent", but it's much lighter fare than the usual character choice
