This is overdue !

You're not retiring :lol

lol ..... My head tells me to but my heart won't let me .
31 and still collecting guess I'm in for the long haul .

Yup. Hey man I'm gonna be 38 in a month. There are times when I think I should really start thinning out the heard and turn my VERY large collection into a MUCH smaller one.... and then something stops me. I'm not ready yet and I'm still really enjoying collecting. But I do have to trim the fat a little a sell some things off; it's getting to that time. I haven't sold one thing from my personal collection since I started about 3 years ago

Yeah I am 38 years old too this year and have about 11,000 comic books and about 300 carded figures, 15 hot toys and 8 premium formats . I cannot stop collecting.

I hear ya bud I'm not ready either as every piece I own is cool as **** ,, but sometimes I just feel enough is enough ..... Then I buy another to get over it .
I think as a collector for me a big part of this is the chase !
If I'm not chasing something I want then I go insane where does this end lol

the pieces I've got I will be keeping and may add the odd addition here and there but yes I think the key here Is keep it small but mighty .

Didn't I read somewhere someone got a David made by Rainman that was a one off and people went ballistic? I was real new to the boards and read it I think in the timeline. I think this Vampire look weathered and bloodies up is something totally different than Rainman's normal clean polished look.

Rainman won't touch david again it was a private commission he did for Aaron ,,,
On another note sean dabbs is doing a David clean and vampire head plus medal unfortunately this has been going on for sometime now though .

Feeling better already I'm not the oldest after all :)

Dude, not by far. IDK the exact ratio but from what I gather, it seems like there are easily as many people here in their 30's as there are in their late teens-20's. Hell, there's a good amount of peeps in their 40's & 50's here and of course there's even a hand full in their 60's-70's.

60 /70's ! Really !?!

That's like my grand father collecting , so there some real 1/6 generals on here then .

I could think of 3 people off the top of my head that are 60+ do I wouldn't doubt there's more. I won't announce anyone because IDK who wants to make that public knowledge but I will say OldGrandpa is 78 (only because he recently announced that himself)

I wonder how old they were when they discovered 1/6 ?! Or even what they collected before hand ? Either way 78 impressive .

Joned those old blokes grew up on G.I. joes that were 12 inches and articulated like the 1/6 now. I bet a lot of them were into military kit bashes and they found a hobby in it. Don't know[emoji239][emoji239][emoji239]

Off course my bad I remember the old gi joe action men with the pers eyes and shaved heads ,
Your absolutely right there .:)

What was with the chicken at the end if the sentence there ??? lol

Lahkota has it right Jonny; Military figs were popular in 12" format way back when and for a long time. That's actually how Hot Toys got their start. They were producing mostly military figs at first and then they started their MMS line.
