Hopefully whatever body he works on will counter the joints issue so he will tackle Raoul Duke. Would be a very visually interesting fig.

Going with the long pants look he had about half way would avoid that. But perhaps it's not as iconic as the shorts for him

Personally I wouldn't mind the long pants, I think they're dark blue with white square (or stripes, unsure) pattern. Fits well enough with the whole style he has going on :lecture

i know this thread was started specifically for rainman because people love his work... but i'm wondering if it might be a good idea to have a separate general one as well. let's face it, rainman probably has little interest in some of these characters and so will probably never touch them.

if we had a general thread discussing custom wants like this but not aimed at any artist in particular, it would be a great overall place to shoot the ____ and spark some ideas. and there are so many other talented people on the board that might drop in, see an idea they like, have a real passion for, see there's demand for it and decide to start something up.

looking at some of the stuff people are coming up with... the stuff dorgmal snow and crimson bob did with the space marines and USMC stuff is just phenomenal (perfect guys to do a dark helmet :naughty), creg, WGP, kato, xenoviper, skiman, hanouman, trevor, velvet, spenser, they've all being doing quality runs of custom stuff for ages and it might be a good place for them to see what people wish for. then there's a whole host of excpetional customizers (like my man seb) and painters who might be tempted to do a run of something if they see an idea cool enough.

just a thought because as much as i love rainman's work, i think some of these ideas are suited to other styles, and i think other people might do a better job on them.

i finally bought the non directors cut dvd - really didn't like the additions in the director's cut.

@kara - i swear when you posted "go for it" and a youtube video, i thought it would be stallone's "go for it" from rocky 3.
