I love em too, I only have one premium format, guess which one?

The 2.5 was still a nice figure by itself I put him in that classic gun pose and he did look cool like that but with each new release he just got more and more dated looking to me, you probably seen my video on him when it was released( I praised it back then as you do with anything "new" :lol)

The Rocketeer!? It's the one PF that I'll never let go, especially since Billy Campbell scribbled on it. I totally know what you mean about it looking increasingly dated, though. I think I give it a pass because every time I look at it, I think back to the days of my youth...where I looked through the glass of the Disneyland popcorn machine, at the little Rocketeer figurine turning the cogs inside, and thought about how much I wanted to steal it :lol There's just something about having the character in 1/6 scale...maybe if he were worth more :dunno

Im trying to get Denny of Iminime to work with Rainman andbring Patrick Bateman in 1/6th form... it wont be a strict Rainman handmade, but you uys all know iminime's director of sculpts is Rainman. And Im hoping since itll be a collaboration Rainman can do the headsculpt for himself while iminime sculptor his student can do the accessories and clothing... This can be beneficial as like Wonka and Marty we can get Rainman's work on Pee Wee and Bateman at the same time or in a very short time span. (Iminime make figures in record time!)

I must admit to hoping Bateman would be a strictly Rainman only project but I am certainly not ruling myself out.

Yes and that would be absolutely fine with me. Rather that and get a Rainman exclusive in my opinion. Too many complex parts to this for me that only Rainman can make shine!

Why the Rush!
I dont see this as something that Rainman won't potentally do down the line as a full set! I think you should be patient, Bateman sounds like a character that will be touched by a customizer soon. I think there is going to be plenty of options for this in the future. You have Kai whose rumored to be doing accessories for this and maybe, just maybe, Adam makes a comeback and offers us a Bateman Sculpt. But rushing it like this doesn't sound like a good idea.

Bateman as iconic, hasnt been touched by any customiser for a long time, honestly if you ask me, it surprises me as to why. KAI has only been making some accessories from time to time. But NONE of it has ever been offered, or even planned to be offered. As for a Bateman figure, KAI never stated any plans at all for it, he already has a Bale sculpt he sold for wayne (which IMO wasnt that great)

See Ill be honest, when Pee Wee Herman was agreed to by Rainman, I was shocked. Maybe cause Im younger and Pee Wee never hit this side of the world, none of us even know who he is! Pee Wee Herman is a nobody in Asia literally. It was weird because all the figures Rainman has made till now has enough fanbase in Asia. I literally felt that maybe Rainman agreed seeing enough interest for it here in the boards (which may be true)

Bateman is extremely popular in Asia... But weirdly never touched, in bootleg format or anything. Even Travis Bickle has a Brother Productions figure.

Sometimes I think its because maybe Bale is difficult to sculpt?? Because honestly I think Adam is the ONLY one who got Bale down accurately in 1/6th...

Waiting would not be an issue if there was any indication from him regarding it. When I have been waiting a couple of years now expecting Rainman to take it up for its cult status, and I suddenly see Pee Wee pop up and in a couple of months of interest becoming agreed to be the next figure... it just feels like this will go on and on and more and more characters will come in, and Bateman will never be made...

In all honestly this is not to say Pee Wee is not iconic enough or anything, frankly I had no idea who it was before someone started posting pics of him... Then sometimes when I see Aaron and all make David as a private commission I too sometimes get the feeling of, why shouldnt I do the same...

Only difference is, iminime do figures never as private commissions, so its like sharing one of my personal favourites with others too, plus having Rainman on board with them will also satisfy the Rainman fans :dunno You know my intention was to keep everyone happy.

I got my Lionel Messi figure made from them. Bateman is my next pitch... only Denny has said he will talk to his team and see if they all agree with him. I have told him that I would love Rainman to be the head sculptor on this. Thats all...

Thing is we're all pretty burned out by Bale. With the Batman hype etc. Sorry to say it but this will probably be a wait until we come around full circle on characters we haven't seen yet. Pee Wee may not be iconic in Asia, but I'm pretty sure Tim Burton is, and anyone who knows Tim Burton, Knows his version of Pee Wee. We all have our personal favorites but to suggest Bateman before Bickle or taxi driver a film that's going on 35 years of Iconic Status?

I agree Turbo. Much rather see other characters before Bale yet again, even though American Psycho is an awesome movie.

I prefer seeing actors/characters that otherwise wouldn't have much chance

Bale as Batman? Enough sculpts. How many worth their salt? Only Adams :dunno So I dont see whats the problem with Bale. Ok hes being shown around as Wayne a lot. But trust me with an expression like this

No ones gonna think of him as Bruce Wayne, and this is too much of a figure to pass up. You love your Bickle, Bateman is same for me, what saddens me is that no ones even made a bootleg of this guy!

I think the beautiful thing about collecting custom 1/6 and especially cult figures is that we can all learn from it. Before joining the Freaks I had never watched Taxi driver, Big Lebowski, or Tombstone. Not only have I grown an interest for watching older movies I've never seen before I get to rewatch old cult favorites. To be able to watch a favorite character of mine come to life is just amazing and discovering new ones is just as great.

If collectors, in Asia, are stumped about Rainman choosing Peewee as his next project, I am guessing their next reaction would be to watch the cult classic by Tim Burton the same way I did for movies I just mentioned earlier. Peewee dominated the TV screen as well as the silver screen and its not by accident. He was a star.

I would love to see Bateman but I am one of the ones burnt out by Bale figures. It would be like HT announcing they are making the Avengers version of Ironman :slap

I have my personal grails and Bickle isn't one of them, but I would prefer to see Rainman do him over Bateman and I would be in for a DX version and minimum a Full set.

Im all for it man. If it gets you what you want they why the hell not! I think Denny does some spectacular work.
