To remove the company face painting I used a high percentage alcohol on my PVC Frodo Asmus head.
I was successful so far, but it takes a long time and it's not effective enough when it comes to the tricky eye, nose and lip area. There the color is stuck, no matter how often I rub it.

What do you use to get rid of everything?

My plan is to remove the paint, then coat him for a skin colour match with the body and do his new face paint.
I don't want any imperfections on the surface.
Thanks for your advices ☺️

If you can find Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner with old package then use it, work great. Do not buy new package, because they changed formula and that terrible.

I stopped stripping paint on heads to repaint. Especially on Vinyl sculpts. I never seemed to get it completely stripped on very detailed sculpts, and at times, the paint would gunk up in the fine cracks. I can't swear, but it also seems to dull some of the sharpness on vinyl sculpts. For me, I treat the original paint as a base coat.

That's an interesting thought I also came about.
My intention was to skintone-match him anyway, so I thought: why all the work of removing the former paint.
I will try to spray the head next time, directly.
