Rory, thanks for such a great time, delivering awesome works, full of passion and dedication for our hobby...take your time for resting and enjoy yourself!!! Hope you will be back again soon alive and kicking!!! Take care my friend.

Thank you so much, Rory, for the great work on the Joker head and coat. It got here yesterday, and it's fantastic. I'll be taking and posting pics sometime today.

Your more than welcome mate. You have been a pleasure to deal with, glad it got over to you so quickly and in one piece, hopefully the hair didn't get too trashed in transit. :duff

Sorry, my pictures wash out some of the finer details of the paint work. Looks 10x better in person.
Also, for some reason, the close up shots show the hair color better. In the full figure shots, the hair looks way more green than it really is.

Tabula Rasa, annihilate22: Joker Heads and Coats SHIPPED! (will send you tracking numbers after work).
Paul: Coat SHIPPED!

John? Have you sent me your coat yet? :duff

Gents (and ladies). I've decided that I'm taking a break on commissions, now that everything is clear it feels like a good time to do it. It's been a lot of fun, but very time consuming, a bit of an experiment for me. It's always been a part time endeavour though, which is tricky I know for some people to appreciate, balancing work, kids and this, I need a break.

I know quite a few people are interested in new commissions, which is why I was going to open up some new slots last week, but it's time for a little break. Don't worry I will take care of anyone who wants commissions when I reopen.

I will be here on the board everyday as usual, but as a normal trouble maker. I hope that's cool with all you guys. I want to spend some time finishing some personal projects, some of which I may offer in the future. I hope everyone that has commissioned anything from me is happy with their project, you have all been (well almost all) great to deal with.

Chapter 1 of this thread is closed. Chapter 2 will be coming soon.

Best,

Rory

You definitely need a break friend, after all this great work you posted along with some of that drama that was going no offense to anyone, I will be looking forward for your next project as I am so interested in your Brandon Lee's The Crow.
So enjoy your break and have a great time :duffgreat

Just stumbled into this thread and wow, you do some amazing work brother. Everyone deserves a break and from the looks of it, you have definitely earned it. I eagerly await your return good sir.

Rory awesome work , really love that Joker. I didn't know you were so talented I know you from the Star Wars VII thread and all your witty humor. Looks fantastic

By the way, a tip for anyone wanting to slim down your overcoat with a bit of futzing..

(A) Take off coat & Jacket.
(B) remove wrist pegs and hands, use a little bit of tape (I use micropore) and tape shut the shirt top over the wrist joint.
(C) Take the jacket and coat (off the body still) push the jacket sleeves through the arms of the purple coat. Pull them out until the edges are showing beyond the purple cuffs. Use a pencil or something to make sure one sleeve is completely inside the outer sleeve.
(D) Push the joker bodies arms (with taped shirt cuffs) through the sleeves and position the arms correctly. pull it all a little, pinch the solders on the purple coat to make a shaper seam or corner at the sleeve arm.
(E) take the tape off the wrists (it was just to stop the shirt bunching up as you stuck it through sleeves).
(F) rub the joker downwards with you hands get the coat to hang a bit. It also looks well if you pull it from the back a bit so it's baggier behind.
(G) Last but not least the "fur" on the collar/coat goes in one direction, like velvet. Dampen your finger and try smoothening the different sections to see which way the fabric is running. It makes it look a lot better.

Mine is still packed up from Rory doing nothing!! Just never got round to putting this great piece of work on a body. Shame,

Hey Guys, I'm reopening for some special projects.
So at the moment I'm taking on weathering and general work. I won't be doing anymore Ledger Jokers (ever again) but will be doing Museum 89 repaints, Indy repaints, weathering, Sandpeople, Luke you name it.

Cheers

Rory
