Looks great though I agree about the gold. The only solution to get it reflective would have been to make each gold part a separate model and have them gold plated. Looking forward to more pics!

Also I heard spraying the part gloss black and then the gold over the top makes it shinier.

I'm not a great painter, but from what I understand, you are correct. A gloss black and then a mirror gold would give you a reflective gold, all using an airbrush or spray can. Spaz stix makes some that's allegedly pretty great. I have mirror chrome/black/dealer coming to repaint a captain America sheild. Might be worth looking into.

I'd get the kit unpainted and try myself, but the head aculpt paint I'm not comfortable with yet. And to be honest, besides the gold, everything else is absolutely perfect.

Sure it`s a good thing to try something else, hope it would be sucessfull moves, mate As for our final way to work on gold - it was painted above black layer and then it was covered my gloss 4 times with polish.

Previous version was maybe dipper and more filled with a color, but the other side of it is "pixels", it`s not easy to make gold paint look homogeneously.



The final part looks more homogeneously like 1 solid piece and it shines - depends on a light source and the level of light in a room or ourside, That`s why i like it better

Aight, guys, here are the pics of a final paint job, hope it`s cool As i said before it looks awesome in person. Right now this set is on a way to me and it will be assembled on a Hot Toys body and sent to Sly`s brother! I`ll PM to y`all - need to know what version are u after?

Looks great! Though why is the helmet badly fitted? The inner padding is loose and not flush with the helmet. The helmet should also fit more tightly to his face like in the proto pics

Hey, mate Those are 3 separate parts - head, inner helmet stuff and helmet. they need to be glued together, but it must be made only when u decided to assemble ur figure) When they are separate - they look like this - something goel left, something goes right. in that pic above all the parts assembled together as one piece - that`s why it looks like helmets sits and fits right

Now, here is a thing to all of u, Dreddsons - remember we was talking about Sly sculpt to make it possible to display our figure with helmet in hands? Whtat do u all think - do we need to work on this?
