Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

Woodrob, quick question - did you include the straps to wrap around the scabbards? Or do we make our own?

There are "unused" belts on the leather sheet, you might use em)))

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

What sort of glue do people recommend for this job?

Depends permanent I recommend clear apoxi gel. Most will use lock tite but it does not react well to fabric long term. Decons fabric tac clear will glue most fabrics to things. But it also falls short.

I'd say if it's a gel adhesive it's your best bet but keep baby wipes to clean off leakage.

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

I am curious, what kind of glue have people used. Woodrob what is your suggestion?

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

I`m using a gel-like super glue, not very liquid u`ll be able to avoid fracking all up:) It`s also possible to use resin-like glues or theose glue-sticks that comes with a thermo gun)))

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

I am going to put this badboy together this weekend, anyone have any tips not previously mentioned. Does the headplay body suggested by Woodrob have to be shaved down or is it ok as it is?

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

I would recommend shaving down the body as the armour is a very tight fit. I used a more slender body and still had to sand it down in places just to get the two halves of the armour to meet properly. I'd also recommend doing as much of the gluing as possible separate from the body. Glue things together as much as you can away from the body so you only have to do minimal gluing of things in situ, as this will reduce the risk of getting residue where it's unwanted

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

I want to avoid having to shave a body down if possible, any way to avoid it or is it a must?

Re: [Scaletta] Witcher - Geralt !SECOND RUN!

don't use a muscle body would be my advice. Use a slim truetype, the slimmest you can find, and you should be ok
