'Taxi Driver' - Travis Bickle Sculpt [CANCELLED)

Ive just assembled a WIP Travis Bickle with the Leo sculpt but im holding out on paint to see if anybody will produce a better sculpt.

I was instantly amazed by the recent Rovo Jin sculpt (cabbie and mohawk) for a figure run by Baro Kim.
Unfortunately they will not sell the sculpts separately and the figure will be big bucks.
Because of this I figured I'd check to see if there is interest in new versions, possibly with a different expression.

I have a few sculptors in mind to tackle this.

Wondering who would be a sculptor?
Is it possible that the clothing is running?

I have a couple of digital sculptors and a couple of traditional sculptors in mind. It will probably be digital like the Leo sculpt because of production time and reliability.

As for clothing, the IRIS set is great (pictured) and she still offers them apparently. I could also arrange an interest list for the clothing or people can send payments privately.

Yes, defintely in. Still looking for that definitive Bickle sculpt. If the sculptor needs reference material I can provide some scanned images (or at least a smart phone captured image) of some shots from the Steve Shapiro Taschen book which is incredible. There are amazing side and front profile shots which would be of massive help for any sculptor needing research material. Do you think the sculptors you have in mind could rival Rovo Jin's efforts? Really hope this project gets the interest it deserves.

I think the person who is doing the Daniel Plainview sculpt could get it near perfect. I also think Balloonman should be considered.

at this point, I'm happy with the current Rocco sculpt I have...but if it's anywhere near that Rovo Jin sculpt, I'd be interested.

There's just not enough interest for this to happen. I highly doubt Baro Kim will budge on the sculpt being sold separately at eight people.
I guess it's go big or go home and in this case I'm definitely gonna be going home lol.
I'll delete the thread in a couple of days once everyone sees this.

It doesn’t make sense for someone who does not have a clothing set to invest in the sculpt. Those of us who have the Rainman set should all want to upgrade our sculpts. This is not a figure that you lose interest in or put at the back of the display. Looking at him everyday reminds me that we should not pass up the opportunity to get the best for the best.
