Brief update on the jacket--after taking two months with no progress, I told the previous tailor I had contacted that I would be looking elsewhere for assistance. I communicated with Rocco, and he suggested he may get his own tailor to tackle the jacket now. If that doesn't work out for him, then there is someone else I can contact who expressed a willingness to take this on.

Yeah, I'm still excited at the prospect of putting it together. I've got two Slims lined up--one for Wolfie, and one for Marty from BTTF 2, then I'll have 3 Michael J. Fox's in my collection. RDJ Iron Man collectors have nothing on me.

I think the rest is pretty basic, and the jacket is the only essential piece that can't be obtained elsewhere, but others may have a different opinion.

There are actually a couple of different options there where you can still be accurate to some source material. In the scene where he's walking down the hall, he has the yellow shirt. Right after he first transforms in the basketball game he's wearing a blue or green plaid shirt. At one point he leaves the school and is wearing a white plaid shirt. He also wears jeans in those other scenes.

Or, you could put aside the difference in color on the movie poster and do a blue shirt with maybe a white t-shirt with a custom transfer on it:
