Here is my 2 cents! I would love to wait for you powers figure! I dotn want to step on anyone toes around here. Were a small community I like to think were all friends here and last thing i want to do is rub someone the wrong way. But lets face facts you started your thread 7 months ago and we have seen 0 progress. I have Cancelled projects time and time again (Never posted A lot of my idea's for interest) only to have super long wait time and inferior likeness/products.

I can have this all said and done In 3-4 months With Very good/perfect likeness!

So how long till we will see soem progress on suit protoype and head scultp?

To answer your question here and for everyone interested:

The sculpt is in progress. I don't want to rush it but I will have WIP soon.
With my longstanding relationship with Yunsil I don't think you will get quicker results with anyone else except Rainman.
So, the sample clothing could be ready as early as next month.

Velvet Morning released another figure since Powers didn't have much interest at the time when he started his thread. Not that he hasn't done anything in 7 months. There wasn't a ton of interest so he moved on to another release.

Unfortunately, I need to go with what feeds the family. It's a lot or work and time and I don't like to gamble too much. (Though every project is really a gamble! haha) Powers has been in motion (slow motion perhaps) but not abandoned. I usually have a few things going at once. Now that some of those other projects are completed this will be more in the forefront.

I have faith in VM, this is a figure that needs time to mature not being rushed liked a lot of the new customs . They are churning out like toys for tots! You go get it VM and go it good! Just like the song push it, push it real good!!! Love me some 80's R&B

It is not about how fast it can be done.... It is about how well it can be done. Waiting is a huge component in the custom figure game. Sometimes other projects take precedence over others. There is no need to hurry velvet morning

Anyone can do what they want obviously but I think I would probably bow out and have to count my loses if that were the case; though, believe me, I'd rather not! I'm enjoying this work! I really don't think there is enough interest for both versions; Again, I'm only speaking personally. For me, as a time investment, it needs to be worth while. Now if someone wanted to make Dr. Evil that would make more sense. There wouldn't be an over saturation and we could work in tandem.

Definitely agree, two Powers is definitely over saturation at this point...especially seeing that there's only a few interested as is right now. Scottyb doing Dr. Evil makes much more sense.

I want to see what Velvet Morning does with this. In cases like this, passion, enthusiasm and art win out. I would rather this project be done carefully and thoughtfully instead of quickly. Velvet does some really great stuff.

I really enjoy the striped flashy stuff with the scarf! But i would also appreciate the blue suit also! In the end we will do what the majority wants Or else i fear we dotn get it period! I think we have a few other things to consider here with VM offerign this also.

We have 2 options here -

1. We buy a full figure from velvet morning. At the full figure price he charges! Can we have it in a H&C set? Can we by Sculpt only? Im not 100% certain how he works?

2. We Take option 2 and go for H&C Set Far cheaper u can finish it at a pace your wallet allow's. With your preferred painter. My track recorded on last 2 project's are flawless likeness! (printed twice for perfect size)


I dont like Powers enough to insist on doing this over VM! Nor am i wanting to peve of Vm. What we want to offer here is 2 different products! And just because i can have this done in 30 seconds or 4 months dotn mean it will be nicer or worse! Its just the time i said i can have it done. It will be glorious if its done in 3 months or 3 years i can assure u!

I dont mind let Vm do this at all But i cant afford and 800$ figure either. If that what the community wants no problem all produce Nickey and figure out my next move in the mean time! No hard feelings what so ever.
