o...m...g!
I've always wanted to see a BDW Two Face.

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

Great idea!!!! I just had some creative juices flowing and sketched this up.

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

Nice!

Yeah the original idea was, I think we took it from an old interview we found of Burton, or something like that - was to have his burnt side like a chemical style burn, and totally white - which would make for a real different, and totally Burton two-face

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

I remember reading that somewhere. Thought it would've been cool. We're you guys making more Burton style rogues? I vaguely remember poison ivy, scarecrow, and maybe riddler.

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

Dammit yes! This will be the elite of the elite. Dooooo it!

Also, would you ever consider doing Burton's choice for Riddler, Brad Dourif?

Dourif? Wow, I never knew that! I always thought it would have been Robin Williams!

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

ah - I think you meant scarecrow?

Both actually. Burton had him in mind before leaving the Batman Forever production (Scarecrow was never going to be a villain in that one). His name came up again for Scarecrow while the fifth movie was tentatively "Batman Triumphant" and Burton was involved... all before getting a complete overhaul.

He's a perfect choice in retrospect. He would have been the third actor from "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" to star in a Batman movie. It would have been a great trio between Nicholson, Devito and Dourif! No wonder Burton kept bringing him up!

If there was ever an actor that exuded maniacal nerdy genius, it's this guy.

Anyway, back to Billy Dee. I'm loving this idea, please do it!

That's awesome - I never knew that either! I guess keeping in going with the cookoo's nest theme, if Dourif was the scarecrow then Christopher Lloyd would have made a pretty cool Riddler!

I'd go the other way around personally.

you think? I dunno, I've always seen Lloyd as 'cooky' rather than scary?

...What am I saying, he cast DEVITO as a scary Penguin!

You can even see shades of Gorshin in Dourif's face. As far as Scarecrow goes, Lloyd does have a tall lanky frame for it. That being said, Burton never brought Lloyd's name up. The fact that Burton mentioned Dourif for Scarecrow twice indicates he really wanted to work with him.

I was wrong about Burton having him in mind for the Riddler though, I assumed the Riddler was always going to be in the third one. Burton wanted Scarecrow as the main bad guy each time.

Between BDW as Two Face and Dourif as Riddler, I'd have a perfect alternate role set to number 3 though! As it is, I really liked Begins version of the Scarecrow. Dourif might have been the only one among all those other actors (Williams/Carrey) to not play him like another Joker.

If you want to take a stab at a Williams Riddler, that would be interesting too. At least we know what he's look like in a bowler hat as Rainbow Randolf. :lol

Almost anything would be preferable over Carrey at this point.

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

hi guys
I had brought this to seans attention because he had a sculpt that had no home so to speak. I told him if we lost the neck piece this could totally be used for The Scarecrow from comics.

He asked me to post it here to see if we can drum up some interest. I looked around and found 3 body types from various companies (hot toys slim build, triad's old male-alpha bodies used for anima, and the dolphie male bodies)

their all very skinny and could work to create this creepy villain.
So what are peoples thoughts.

compare this to the newer comic pic of the scarecrow which has a burtonesque feel to him,

Re: Tim Burton's TWO FACE

well actually the story behind this scarecrow was that it was part of the Burton Batman expanded universe, the design of the scarecrow was actually based on equal parts Jack Skeleton and and Boogie from a nightmare before christmas plus other Burton characters. We originally had Jeff Goldbloom cast as this character!
