Help Support Custom One-Sixth Figures Forum:
I decided to do something different than the previous tailor. The suspenders will have pleather connector
Not exactly like theses bt you will see from the finished product, where the elastic suspenders is attached to pleather as one solid piece and will be stitched to pants so when you put pants on bend figure forward like their going to touch their toes.
slip arms through as the pants almost touch the butt of figure and raise up. they will be strong not weak and should suspenders become loose unstitch the seams pull taunt and re stitch.
I have been trying to find a functional slider for these not to many good options out there.
if anyone finds these let agent 47 or me know
at least my way will be altittle faster to make adjustments.
snaps and hooks and eyes both create bulk and tend to look badly for something like this.
the pants will be very sleek and fit for a TT narrow shoulder body same as shirt.
I'm going to attempt the pleated tux shirt if it looks bad or too bulky we will get a nice collarless band dress shirt none the less. I'm waitng for materials to make buttons there coming from japan so it may take some time. but I will pattern draft and start in December while I'm waiting.

We'll be mocking up the proto on a narrow body so the clothing will be tailored accordingly. Thinking was to sell this as a kit to cut down on shipping costs and give people the option of how high end they want to go with the body. I think that also corresponds with board rules.

I worded my comment wrong. I was just wondering which body will be used to tailor this, not if a body will be included. Just wanted to go ahead and get my RM sculpt painted up and have the body ready.

Costume proto in the works. Hope to see a new sculpt in February.
I have been sick for 2 weeks didn't want to contaminate the fabric until i got better. This weekend im making the patterns and making the 1st suit. plus im waiting on buckles I'm trying to make a functional suspenders. I need to find o rings or something square shaped to attach elastic to the leather part so you can adjust properly.
look at the part at bottom the leather part that attaches to pants has an o ring.
I think i have enough their brass in color is there any objections to brass metal?
I couldn't quite duplicate these without it coming off cheesy. but i'll do both and let you guys judge which is the better suspenders.

Go for it, Groovy. Put together what you think looks best and we'll go from there.
I have enough mini pleather to make at least 3 suspenders until the order by agent47. I will make 3 outfits and those will be finished by the end of dec.
I hope $175 for functioning suspenders, dress pants and dress shirt is not to much for you guys to swallow.
the shirt will be getting french seams and pants with functioning front pockets with pocket lining.
the suspenders will be attached to pants the over head cost for snaps on suspenders and bulk it creates was reason for eliminating that feature.

quite a few pieces i have done some people have told me it's really good work. my personal stuff i tend to not put so much effort in because i know i can fix it latter. but for customer orders i tend to go 100% unless they try to brow beat me in price then I'm less enthused about working for them.
I figured in cost of what people are offering for most custom clothes and i scale price back a little until I am more well known.
eventually I am moving into sculpting so your better off taking advantage of my clothing work while it's available.
I think the reason why tailors and seamstresses don't stay with a project is pressure,time constraints people tend to think when it's small it should not take long.
I recently finished a BR catwoman proto type and it took all day long to make jumpsuit and do the white stitch work. That's not talking the time it took to make a pattern and test a pattern in muslin before you actually cut fabric.
what's worst is most of us don't get advance notice,bodies to use as dummies. agent 47 has given me advanced notice. and it takes awhile for some fabric and supplies to come up from another country. I get some fabric from uk,china and other asian countries and now since their taking longer to ship it sucks.
so when people have to wait because i have to wait it does make a seamstress/tailor look bad. and mistakes happen in 1/6th scale alot if fabric shifts while sewing. you can't seams rip them you toss it out and start over because complaints with 2.5 being to big and 1 is better for stitch length.
But alex should be fne and i am also doing willy wonka both of rocco's sculpts, since i don't have family obligations i will be working through xmas to finish at least 3 clothing sets and start proto type. I'm using agent 47's old body for measurements until one comes in. which appears to be similar to hot toys regular narrow shoulder build if that helps you guys find a body for him.
I am hoping by end of january finishing the alex project with 12 suits. i don't think my attention span can handle more than 15.
