Re: [WeArToys] 1/6 Tombstone US Marshal

Hi guys . I have been looking more information about the two guns and I think Greatlakes6 is right. The gun from the picture is a Colt Peacemaker. The buntline has a long barrel like the model 12 inches .
Thanks!

Re: [WeArToys] 1/6 Tombstone US Marshal

As per this site that's the Buntline special, and it says that he used it at the OK corral. But Greatlakes6 seems to have more knowledge about the topic.

https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Tombstone

He uses like 4-5 different guns during the movie, I think we should pick one and also include the shotgun? as he uses the shotgun pretty much during the entire 2nd part of the movie.

Re: [WeArToys] 1/6 Tombstone US Marshal

For historical sake, Wyatt Earp and four other well-known western lawmen - Bat Masterson, Bill Tilghman, Charlie Bassett and Neal Brown - each supposedly received a Buntline Special. However, neither Tilghman nor Brown were lawmen then. Author Stuart Lake wrote about this in 1931, but it is widely believed not to be true and has never been verified as having happened. The Buntline was popularized in the Wyatt Earp tv show, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. Of course, they didn't have any factual information like they do today.

Myself, I rather have a more historically accurate pistol. The pistol chosen would also affect the size of the holster that is used on the figure since the Buntline is about 4 1/2 inches longer in full scale. What do you guy's think?

Rifle is a great idea.

I would prefer the movie accurate version myself. He used the Buntline in the movie, so why stray away from that?

Oops just read Oragami's post lol! Well correct that I'd rather have the film accurate pistol the buntline. Plus it's a cool looking pistol:) that's my vote

If possible, I would prefer the Buntline and the .45 Peacemaker, that way it can be movie accurate and historically accurate.
