Answers to your questions:

1- I will be working with a couple of painters for this project: Jacob (Proto only), Kuato, Skiman. As I already mentioned before, it is very difficult to have one single painter taking care of all the sculpts, no artists will paint 30 sculpts of the same character.
What happened with Calvin was that at the beginning was a project for the outfit only, then we decided to commission the sculpt and accessories to make a full figure. Also, I had some changes on the artists making/painting the accessories that also delayed the project, but for good I think, as the results was better than I expected when I decided to go for a full figure. These were the reasons for the delays on this project.

2.-As we already have the sculpt pretty much ready, the outfit proto and Yunsil ready for production, and artists for the accessories, I'm looking for a 3 month delivery for this project, and make this the standard for all our projects. I will never have a project lasting that long again, that's why I already hired another sculptor to work with us. I know this may be holding some people to jump in this project, so this is what I can promise, at the end will be their description to get a set or not :)

Bottom line these are great figures (I am yet to hold one of these in hand and I know I won't be disappointed but I do feel there is a definitely room for improvement on both - timeline / schedule adherence and timely communications)

Got all deposits and updated the list in the first page, looks like I will be putting an order for 18 clothing sets. This will be a very limited run, thanks to everyone that sent out deposits/payments, thanks for the support.

More than 30 people in the interest list backed out, curious to know what happened :dunno

pedro - for people not jumping in could be multiple reasons:

1) may be the initial 500 deposit for dx and full set at a short notice and also for h and c that full amount due part.
2) may be i am the only one shocked that h and c with half accessory at a 400ish price point gets you - shoes and revolver for about 50 bucks and for dx buyers shelling out almost twice the price - a 40 dollar extra gets you just a small hidden accessory and that bounty paper. Just my thoughts - not sure how other DX buyers feel cause many of us probably and definitely dont need two sculpts.

Just my thoughts this is not h and c vs dx (i am happy for partial H and C guys but the DX extra does not make much sense for DX buyers at that specific price point.

PS: I am still in on DX i am just airing my thoughts. Just requesting people to read this with rational rather than passion :)

Nothing happened this is just he way it is. It was like this 3 years ago itll be like that in another 3 years! But i would say there is so many good offerings nower days and there all 300$+ being the major culprit.

If I'm being transparent my hesitation was a combination of things.

First & probably the biggest factor is the sculpt, while very good it didn't nail the likeness IMO. While I certainly can't do better it just doesnt have that Schultz expression that I was hoping for. You know eye brows raised, wrinkled forehead just after delivering one of his classic lines, as I always said his best weapon was his wit and his sharp tongue.

Second was indeed price, and I guess as it relates to the sculpt. I paid around the same price for Rainmans Doc Holliday and that that likeness is spot on. I am intrigued by the unhatted head sculpt but the fact it comes unpainted and I still need to pay $45 for it makes it less of a "deal" (Rainman reissue heads unpainted go for around that price) Maybe if the 50% included the painted unhatted head it would feel better?

Now with all this being said, I did send my deposit for the DX today and I am excited to add this figure to my collection. In truth seeing the actual pics of the "plantation owner" all assembled vs the renders also got me excited. Anyway thanks for taking on this project, I'm excited to see the final product!

This is true. There are a lot of great custom offerings and as cool as it would be to buy all of them, when payments come due on a few of them at the same time, buyers will be forced into triage mode. I know it's been a rough few weeks for me what with the deposit for Schultz, final payment on Plantation Owner and full payment to Scott Pettersen for Rep-Detect 2.0 all paid within a two week period---on top of flex payments to Sideshow and pre-ordered figures at BBTS and Alter Ego Comics finally coming in stock after the port delays. I'm not complaining (nor am I in debt), but these are just the realities of this expensive hobby.

^^^^ exactly! I was calculating and with 10 custom figures a year and sideshow bbts etc. It's now getting very difficult for me to manage stuff! Plus cost for each figure is piling by every release. I mean a simple rain man release now looks to me as a steal buy and easy plunge!!! Cause every other custom figure is stacking up with separate add on payments of sculpt, sculpt paint, accessory, clothing etc - somehow much of the stuff out there is not really a collaboration or a synergy (it's a+b+c and causes a huge dent)
