Re: [YUNSIL] Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (TRACKING NUMBERS)

Suit looks great :rock my sculpts haven't shipped yet still at before shipping been that way for about a week 1/2, hoping the hat is put on the correct way when it finally arrives :/ but i won't get my hopes up

Re: [YUNSIL] Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (TRACKING NUMBERS)

Success!!!
Managed to pop off both hats without any major damage. Like Lakhota said the Plainview hat popped off quite easily but the Doc one was a challenge. At first I was being careful not to damage anything but after 20 mins I got impatient and said **** it, if it breaks it breaks. So I pulled and pressed with a great deal of force and it finally popped off with only a few minor paint rubs on the underside of the hat.
I was just going to leave them alone but every time I looked at them all I could focus on was the backwards hat. I would caution anybody trying to remove the Doc hat as I see how it could easily snap. I think I just got lucky using my brute force.

Re: [YUNSIL] Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (TRACKING NUMBERS)

When i received my Sculpt, Checked sculpt for damage. Did not look at hat, as i sent sculpt off to be painted. Sure enough my painter sends me progress pix, and hat is Backwards. How does Rainman's Painter Aeon miss something like this!!!:cuss Is it easy to get hat Off?

Re: [YUNSIL] Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (TRACKING NUMBERS)

I'm repainting the hat for Ren_Dog and I thought it seemed odd to have the indentations in the back and just from pics it looked like the bow was on the wrong side of the band... guess them being backwards is common.

It's glued on pretty tight and I'm a bit worried if I try to pop it off that thin ass brim will snap, but if I use heat I might damage the original heads paint. Not a good situation.
Do what you have to do man! :dunno Just dont break the Hat:lecture:lol Try the Heat Method? How do you feel about repainting a Plainview Sculpt? :lol A Backwards Hat is No Good!:gah:

That looks sweet Anthony. .great pose!

Thanks I like the way it looked only thing that's a pain in the butt is getting those collars down without getting them dirty with your hands. Raymond's head looks kind of big on the body. I definitely like it I just had a lot of trouble getting the tie around the collar to make it look good I still not really happy with it, my left lapel is smaller than my right and it pokes up

Use a little ball of double sided tape under the lapel

His left lapel is smaller in the movie. That is accurate.

Re: [YUNSIL] Daniel Plainview charcoal suit outfit (TRACKING NUMBERS)

I swapped out bodies fits much better now!!!

Looks great bud! Now only another couple weeks til it gets to me. Sometimes I think the postman actually swims the Pacific Ocean to bring me my mail.

The suit looks so damn good. Only problem I see myself having is dealing with all the negative attention the suit brings to the hat. The suit is so good it highlights how the hat is sculpted, and painted so brightly.

That's exactly what I was thinking from the four head down the figure is phenomenal that hat definitely needs a repaint
