Guys need some advise... I was trying to get all the items separately on eBay etc. I just realized that many of the items are very identical to the temple of doom sideshow figure. Also the shoes look quite similar (but weathered) - if I go in parts it's coming to 200 plus on eBay! The sideshow figure is for 250 inc tax. but then the body will be included in it. So it's coming to almost same cost.

Coming to the point - do you guys feel accessories from sideshow tod figure and yunsil outfit could potentially complete the figure - minor differences will exist but then not all stuff in the hot toys figure is accurate to the i and t ...

Any advise will be helpful!

I would just be patient I know a lot of people just bought a lot of hot toys Indiana Jones stuff off eBay. I watched a lot of it disappear luckily I grabbed all my stuff on Toy Anxiety. It's going to take a few weeks but I would figure a bunch of new stuff for hot toys will pop up. If you buy am MJ, Yunsil set, Fisher set Hot toys gun, boots, bag you will be set with a nice custom. There was also mention of Newline Miniatures boots, lots of people are probably scrambling right now to get parts just give it a few weeks[emoji8]

That's a good point lakhota but I was just thinking - the weathered boots were looking great on temple of doom and may go better with outfit! Almost everything else looks better. Also I like the whip tucked in the belt (just like what fisher would do) plus that figure has a good body that will come along with it! Hence torn apart! Cause I don't want to start picking stuff and then half way through see that I could put a much better figure but just using some tod parts!

Never judge based on a prototype, especially with SS.

It's much smarter to start with the DX Indy and replace from there.

You'll get the Arab garb, notebook and Staff of Ra for that look, plus the Fertility Idol and the temple base, which really spice up the display.

The HT boots are great, and the guns are nice as well. Considering SSC's track record, the TOD guns are not likely to be as nicely done as the HT. I hate molded boots, which is what SSC does. Considering the reports of breakage on Snake Plissken, I wouldn't count on the SSC body being as good as the TTM19.

You'll have a number of extras you can sell off. You can the HT head for $50 and body for $70 (though you might want to keep it, TTM19s are always good to have on hand). The jacket, shirt and pants, might get around $80 parted out on eBay. You can sell the whip and gun belt for about $30.

There are no DID boots that match Indy's.

An old DID figure named Coleman came with an English gas mask bag, here on eBay, which is the source of the screen used bag that Indy used, but the DID bag is accurate to the source in that it comes with a web strap, so you would need to change it out to make it accurate to Indy's

The only other boots that match Indy's are the Newline civilian boots, here on eBay, but they are not as accurate as the HT boots, and are sold out.
