Is there an estimate of when (or if) we'll have some prototype pics? I'm asking because Kato opened a similar interest thread for the jacket only (which is the only part that really matters to me), and I'm inclined to get his version...

And to add to Rob's post, Yunsil's outfit will be sold complete with pants, shirt, belt and jacket. It will not be parted out directly from her. Also, new metal helmet and jetpack will only be offered to those who buy Yunsil's Outfit.

Both being made by my friend who is not on these boards. Already modeled and being tested for size now. Will start a separate thread for those items when time is right.

I don't think he would be to bummed if knowone shows interest, considering that Yunsel has been Hired to make the jacket and outfit.

Kato isn't making a brand new design for his version. He already had the pattern done for a Sideshow GI Joe figure he was working on. He saw Superman1983's post on FB about his Medicom version and commented that he could make the same jacket in the correct Rocketeer color. So if no one shows interest he won't proceed in making it. No harm no foul on his part

I just got my pair in as well! Even though they are black they are so much better than the Medicom Boots.

Not trying to derail the thread, but I have a Medi ver. 1 or this guy that I no longer want. Bought it from a good buddy of mine but never found the space or inclination to display him. He's been in the box, so I am not sure if the body has succumbed to Medis infamous fragility problem but I can check. I would be willing to sell him for $150 obo shipped. PM me if interested.

Sorry for lack of updates fellas...We are on queue for the clothing to be started, but as you know Yunsil is very busy here on the freaks boards :lol
But! I come bearing gifts! Finally received the prototype jet pack and resized helmet for you guys to see and chat about! I really want us to agree on everything before I send out to get master printed in wax, then off to metal. For a ****** print, really was floored with how the jet pack came out, and seriously cant wait to see this thing printed in metal with more detail.
So I used parts from my parts bin to put this test together. Yunsil currently has my Medicom Rocketeer and jetpack. The body is a TTM18 with TTM21 Chest piece, or the Mandrin Body if you are still looking. The jeans are some left over Rick Grimes jeans, jacket a Brothers Production Tyler Durden Jacket, and boots are the T1000 boots :naughty
Did some modding to the Durden jacket to best mimic the Rocketeer Jacket, so pardon that :lol Used the Art Figures Dredd Head sculpt since it had a neck and was bald already.
Some changes we are making for sure is the front plate of jetpack. WE decided NOT to print a fan since you cant even see it :lol and the plate sticks out way to much for our liking, so we are just going to make it one piece with front part of the jetpack. Next I want to see what you all think of the new helmet size. We all agree the Medi helmet (and jetpack) are undersized for a Hot Toys body...So I want to get this size correct before sending off final.

Front and back Jetpack casing will be cast in metal. Rocket boosters and tips will be cast in resin to keep weight in check, and price low (hopefully)

Rough Build Up:
*I used tinting film from car windows for temp eye shields on helmet. I bought a roll when I did my DREDD custom a few years back and had left over. Still working on eye shields for everyone. Will let you guys know as soon as we figure it out.
