It's been a loooong time since there's been an update on the helmet and jet pack.

Can someone "in the know" chime in with a status update. I have a very cool unfinished Rocketeer in need of those last essential parts [emoji4]

Sorry about the lack of updates. With the holidays and work, its been really hard to put 100% of my time into this project at the moment. But I'm on the same boat as you all are. My Rocketman sits with no jetpack as well. Here's an update. Getting the right metal and look was very difficult. we got the right look but it was way too heavy. and the cleaning process was something i didnt anticipate. Take a ton of cleaning to get it to look right. We tried other metals, and although it was lighter, it didnt look movie accurate. Then I ask Rob to help with casting in resin as a DIY Kit. But my molds werent good enough for resin. They only worked for metal castings. I want to try one more thing in metal before giving up my dream :lol

I dont have the money to front for new molds at the moment and my 3D designer is on vacation and he has all the files. So i truly apologize for the delay. I want this to be finished as much as you do :)

Also, sorry but there will be no second run on this outfit.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the update man!

Much appreciated. I know how busy things get. [emoji1]

It's refreshing to hear that so much work is being but into making it perfect!

Keep the updates coming [emoji482]

Hey folks, hope you don't mind me posting this here but I started an interest thread for a Billy Campbell sculpt (no helmet) so we can have a helmetless head option. I was hoping some of the Rocketeer fans in here would jump on board so Rocco can take the project on.

Hey Gang!

First I want to sincerely apologize for the delay on the Rocket Pack. Due to events out of my control, this has taken longer than I originally planned. Want to state it here how amazing a group you all are for sticking around and not killing me here for lack of updates. Shows the class you all have. Long story short...had major turnover at my job before XMas and been working my tail off to prove to new management I'm worth a damn :lol
Now that I think I've accomplished this...I was able to start focusing on this again. Like you, my figure is incomplete...BUT looks mighty fine even without jet pack and helmet (Yunsil really killed it!)
As you know, the first pass, although accurate in color, was very heavy and toppled the figure every time. Before my life got In the way, I was going to try 2 options...1) regular castings (that's failed due to my molds...needed to get new molds which I don't have the money for atm) 2) try another pass in metal...but this time aluminum which is much much lighter. Now, it was successful in weight...really light. But not in color. Just spoke to some folks and they will try to match color to original jet pack. Here is the kicker with this. Trying to figure out how much labor will be on this. Like you, don't want this to be expensive at the end. So you all have stuck by me this far...hopefully in the next week or two, I can a final Proto to show.

If you haven't already, I strongly suggest you reach out to FullMetal (davinator) for his amazing harness. No one will match that craftsmanship. Contact him for prices.

Again thank you all for the amazing patience!

Pajji, have you considered printing the Jetpack in plastic and then painting it chrome? By the way, the Rocketman Figure from Go Hero has a metal Helmet & Rocketpack.ghrm6_zpsl5d1ibgx.jpg
