Hello all! With the release of Rainman's V3 head, a lot of people have been looking for shoes to put together to make their V3 Bill sculpt and clothing sets into an entire standalone figure.
I decided to sculpt some shoes for myself.
I've owned the Bill the Butcher shoes by Robbie, and was inspired to make some shoes with a ball peg to plug into the leg sockets.
I had this crazy idea of sculpting some shoes around a pair of Hot Toys feet.
However, halfway through the project, I decided I should check the movie for some details, as well as shoes made by Creg and Robbie to ensure I'm not copying them.
At this point, after reading through Robbie's thread for his shoes I also found out that he had also sculpted around Hot Toys feet. I felt that my shoes were different enough, and had the features I saw missing/different from Creg's and Robbie's, to stand as my own original creation.
At this point I had received messages of people interested in purchasing the shoes.
I talked to Robbie and asked for his blessing, since I felt that my method was the most similar to his in procuring my boots. He gave me the okay, for which I'm excited to offer to the community.
Following are the WIP pictures.

I used Smooth-Cast 325 urethane resin to make the prototype for myself. Despite that, I ran into the issue of the pegs not being robust enough to withstand the posing of the shoes, and snapping. I talked it over with my friend and decided to reinforce the structure with steel wire.

This is the final product, it can fully withstand the bending and posing of the feet. However, I would still recommend being cautious with the shoe.

Steel reinforced structure can be seen from the top of the ball peg.

I will try uploading a video later on the sturdiness of the shoes.

Any chance at unpainted pairs for cheaper?

I think I might offer that yeah, but it'll be cast in white (instead of black) to differentiate my complete pieces. Cleaned, prepared, and primed for paint for $47 plus shipping.

No COA or box though.

Any chance of snow effect?

Added! I was thinking of picking up supplies to do snow effects on Monday after work.

UPDATE:
Resculpted some details on the master casts. A different process to make new two-part molds is being done, should provide cleaner casts. I will redo the pairs I've done already!
