Re: TDK Cowl WIP (Updated 30 Sept '16)

I think the eyes should be a bit smaller and also the mouth piece should be more similar to what medicom did, I think the shape of the cowl is pretty accurate but still need some more details

I hope you will also offer what you currently have. I hope you saved the file.
I think I'm actually liking that smiling sculpt.

I am interested in option B & expression D

I'd probably go with d since the other 3 look the same to me. If you could give us more dynamic options that would be great.

Can u send me a picture? I will see and try if I can make that as an option. I'm afraid if it is too dynamic it will affect the eye. Since the eye is somewhat neutral, so I choose a more neutral faceplate too.

Do u feel it needs to be slightly larger?

yes, it's not a secret, that the hot toys 1/4 sculpt is a bit undersized, as the figure has too bright shoulders. also some elements like nose or the back of the cowl is inaccurate aswell. it would be very cool if you could offer an 1/4 aswell :)

also i've edited your wip, to give you my impressions where it could be modified a bit. the mouth needs just a little bit of mods in the wrinkles/end of the mouth and change slightly the lips. i also enlarged the chin a tiny bit. i lengthened the nose a bit, as it looked a bit too high on the tip of the nose. eyes are also just a little bit smaller and neck was widened a bit where the cowl sit. the picture as comparison (left og, right modified):

maybe you like it or it gives you some ideas :wave

I think the shape of the cowl still needs some adjustments and also the mouth plate.

I really appreciate all the input that you all put in.

Keep in mind that with the photos that you find online, there will be things to consider such as the lens distorsion and the position that christian bale is in, as the real cowl is made of some sort of rubbery material, it is quite flexible in some ways and depending on which pose he is in, the cowl might have a slightly different shape than others. Ideally a good reference is when he is in a neutral position which is very hard to get, usually he is either looking upwards which make the jaw line look slightly smaller or downwards which make the jaw looks slightly wider.

Right now I'm taking in all of your input and double checking with the reference that I found to get it as accurate as possible.
