Wow that looks brilliant

I have both the dx12 and the qs001 so I would also love to see it on the qs001 before I decide which to go for!

Re: 1/6 and 1/4 TDK Cowl (Updated 15 Oct '16)

Since the interest list for the 1/4 is not many, I'm not sure if I should go ahead with the run as the production cost will be high and might affect the price.

Just of curiosity, what measurement do you think will be best for QS001? I need the measurement from the side of the head (left to right) so scale it. Right now the stock measurement from left to right is 4.5cm.

I have the QS001 but since I mod the shoulder, I think the stock cowl size doesn't look too bad on mine.

Update:

Picture of the Cowl and Neck Piece on DX12 body
I also found some inaccuracies on the cowl so I made a tiny change :yess:.

I will start collecting $30 Non-Refundable Deposit once this goes to the caster.

Would it be possible to get some larger pictures? It looks really good but it's kinda hard to see the detail

Re: 1/6 and 1/4 TDK Cowl (Updated 21 Oct '16)

Is that a proof or final print?
Also, are you gonna have pics of this painted?

Re: 1/6 and 1/4 TDK Cowl (Updated 21 Oct '16)

I might be off base here but I feel like the faceplate should somewhat be protruding out of the cowl a little bit, where this seems like it's far back and creates that seam around it.

The picture above is the final print.
If you are worried about the print lines, don't be. It is there because of the plain surface and lighting condition which makes them pop a little bit more that it should.

Here is a pic of it painted black (one coating).

You can see it is barely visible.

I might be off base here but I feel like the faceplate should somewhat be protruding out of the cowl a little bit, where this seems like it's far back and creates that seam around it.

Thank you for the input, I understand that all of us see this feature differently since I also get a feedback to put the faceplate inwards instead of out. Maybe this caused by the different position of the head inside the cowl in the movie. In some position, Christian Bale's face maybe pressed against the cowl more that the other which makes it look like the mouth is protruding out. But since this is basically a neutral position, we should see a slight cowl thickness around the mouth opening.

Here is a reference.

The gap that you see is actually the cowl thickness casting shadow to the mouthplate.
I make it minimum just to see that it is there.

So for those of you that like the face protruding out, you can put a tiny ammount of sticky tag behind the mouth plate to give that illusion.
For those of you that feels like the mouthplate is not pushed back enough, you can sand the back of the mouth plate just a tiny bit for it to be able to sit a little inwards.

Just want to update u guys regarding the status of this project.

Right now I'm waiting for the prototype of the box to be complete. I've already order from a vendor but apparently after communicating with him back and forth, he is so unprofessional and can't deliver to the standard that I need. So I found another vendor and now I am waiting for his work to be complete. Once I take a final picture of what you will all get in the package. I will collect a deposit and the master cast will be send to my caster.

Sorry for the delay, it is frustrating when the delay is caused by others and out of our control .

For now, I print a 1/4 scale just to see if I can get anymore interest for that.
Since some of us think that the HT size is a little too small, so I make mine slightly larger that HT.

What do you guys think of the size?

With the above pic it lol is a little elongated. Like how many HT cowls look. Any way to make more round?
