Hi guys, just wanted to chime in really quick and say that I'm looking forward to doing my best with this project/likeness (as I always set forth to do). I'm aware of the (well deserved) reverence for Adam's work and all of that but many of us other sculptors are just as "nutty" about our work, as this work truly requires one to be...somewhat obsessive.
I never look at this like a competition with my fellow sculptors but rather an obsessive, tenacious love for creating accurate portraiture. Rest assured I'm putting my all into this. I've been wanting to sculpt Bale for a while, so this will be fun. Oh, and if I may offer my two cents, I also prefer a closed mouth expression. Anyway, I'll have progress to show soon. Thanks!

Btw, here's the Conor private commission piece that I sculpted for a dear friend, painted by the great Mr. Rahmier. I believe the tattoos were also assisted by another artist whose name escapes me at the moment.

Personally would like this expression:

It is pretty neutral yet a little more "aggressive", less model-like.

Love this expression. Like the touch of aggression in it. It is somewhere between stoic and cold anger.

By the way, sorry for the delay, guys. Got sidetracked with regular work but I'm back at it and shooting to have Bruce Wayne done this week.
