Sad that the real leather option couldn't happen for the coat, but this color is pretty great and I'm good with going forward on this. Really hoping the pants can remain leather, especially as we've seen them done before in real leather. Thanks for the info Mr Jagzz

Hi bud,
Yeah sad but we can't have a real leather for the coat, but the reason that she give is pretty logical. I still want coat that can drape much better than HT and I think with this fabric we can get the natural drape that we long for hahaha.
Agreed with the leather pants, already emailed her about that. I will push for us to get the leather pants as promised..
No worries, getting the best Hellboy in my collection is my priorities right now hahaha. :rotfl

Totally understandable on the coat leather. That material really looks great and the color match is fantastic.
I'm concerned about the inclusion of the black poly leather swatch however. The pants absolutely should be real leather both for the look and the quality aspects.
Anyone familiar with their slowly decaying Hot Toys factory faux-leather pants will understand this.

Iris already replied my email regarding of using real leather for the pants: She said, she will try her best to find real leather, but the one that she have available right now are too thick and will be difficult to sew. And the other option she have right now is a high quality synthetic leather, I know it's not a real leather but she said it will last for a very long time. Then again my prefer option still for her to find a real leather.., and she will try her best to get one.
That's the updates for now, I will let you know if she have any new updates.

A few years back (2014 maybe?) I started to pursue a one-off project for real leather Hellboy pants. The project never came to completion but during the course of it this same issue came up (real vs. faux leather and the availability of it). The tailor I was working with said that the faux leather would last for a while, but he couldn't guarantee it long-term. For a real leather option he said we'd need to use lambskin because of its thinness and pointed me to an Ebay seller. I even went so far as to order the material and probably still have it in a box somewhere.
The Ebay seller is still in business and might be a resource possibly? If not, the suggestion of black lambskin might be worth passing along.

Don’t worry man like I previously said, I will push her to get real leather. And I don’t think artoys is a real leather to be honest, but then again I don’t have the figure. I think only time will tell..

If it turns out to be some sort of major issue I'm sure we can figure out how to purchase the material ourselves and get it to her.
Believe me, I'd do it to make sure I never see another pair of flaking, decaying Hellboy pants as long as I live.
