Quite a shame there's no shortage of total cornballs who would rather have a cheap knockoff toy instead of a unique piece of art. I'll never understand that. Tons of people on that ARtoys list already, while the real dedicated fans are over here with our thumbs up our butts praying for one more guy with poor money management to save us.

I know everyone feels pretty defeated, but can we not extend this again? I seriously don't know what to do. I've got zero interest in that garbage knockoff Hellboy. Already spent a good amount of cash. I really wanted a quality clothing set. An Iris coat would have been so cool.

I'm not getting this set, but I've bought many Iris & Yunsil outfits. One of the big problems with most (not all) of those people who buy the knock off, is they have really yet to have a quality outfit/painted head/well sculpted figure in their physical hands. They truly don't know that there can be an actual difference in what they get. There are also people who want "quantity" is stead of "quality". They love to show off their massive sea of figures that start to look like one of those pictures that if you stare a certain way long enough it forms from blurry to a hidden picture.
Who knows. Good luck on this. Love the movie, Iris is great. Hope it comes together.

That's how I feel about it too, man, and it's a crying shame. Knockoffs have totally run amuck over the course of the last couple weeks. We've got ARtoys and Nerve Toys popping up out of nowhere, and you've got Redman releasing their new wave of Rainman/Iminime knockoffs. To think that the ARToys Hellboy sabotaged any chance of this happening makes my blood boil, I can't lie. There's like 200 dudes who want that thing, and like you said, the majority is made up of guys who want to pollute their shelves with cheesy bootlegs. Sadly, guys like us lose out, and it won't be the last time either. The hobby itself has gotten so big that all our beloved customs are now in danger of being copied. The approval rating for recasts and bootlegs in general has reached a disgusting high. These things don't belong behind glass, it's as simple as that. I hate to sound like an elitist prick, but it's gotten to the point where it's directly affecting me and the stuff I love, and that friends of mine love. It's getting hard to keep my mouth shut about it. Before it wasn't so terrible because you can go about your business as usual, and go about it with a "ok, let those guys have their crap. At least I can still put together a really nice figure" kind if attitude. Sadly, now that peace of mind is gone. I hope there is something we can do here. If this project is indeed dead in the water, maybe we can revisit it some time later when the interest is there. Just blows my mind because the interest for Hellboy is there, but that interest is for cheap crap.

I say we at least keep this on our list of things to do. I still have all these quality parts. We should try again later when there is potential major Hellboy hype.

The minimum requirement is 15 bro, we got 12. So another $300 to make this happen.
