Sorry for the bump but it is looking more and more likely I can’t build this figure, so have my clothes spot for sale (at discount) if anyone wants. Thanks.

Again I will listened to all you guys input, and I definitely will go with what majority choose. I know Balloonman will knock it out of the park either way :)

Just to be clear, we will all be voting on this, correct?

I know you want a big, expressive sculpt, and several others of us wanted to let balloonman the creative freedom to choose for himself and fully explore his talents. I’m not sure if there are other options that others may be interested in.

Looking forward to the vote already (fingers crossed we get enough deposits), did some internet digging and personally leaning towards this kind of expression at the mo, there's something about the mouth slightly open and raised eyebrows that just reeks sinister

Damn!, I dig this... thanks man for your pictures..
I can get on board with this looks.. agree the sinister looks is great.
And it still different with what HT produce.
Definitely will put this in final vote :)

Bump for sculpt deposit!, we need at least 20 people to booked the project guys..

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I don't think I agree on the "sinister" expressions. In my mind, when I think of Nicholson Joker, I think big huge, CRAZY looking smile. In terms of the FILM ITSELF, we see that "sinister" look very seldom. The shots of the "sinister" look all come from promotional shots, which I don't think reflects the Nicholson or the Joker that we actually end up seeing throughout the duration of the film.

don't get me wrong, he definitely flashes that sinister look a couple of times... but to me you can get that same sinister look along with the signature smile and teeth. I think the images from Partyman, with the sort of dropped jaw and... I dunno, something just looks off to me.

In the larger images I posted you get way more of the signature smile. The first one is a great one IMO.... big crazy eyes, wide smile... lots of expression. The final 3 images, which are smaller, are a good combination of "sinister" look but that still maintain the smile. And they don't have that odd looking (IMO) dropped jaw of those promo images.

In my mind, the biggest issue with those samples of the “sinister look” is that they require the hat as an effective prop. Given that balloonman isn’t going to be sculpting this with the hat on, I think it’s going to be challenging to get a hat to sit correctly on the sculpt, particularly if the hair isn’t perfectly flat (which I am not at all a fan of). I’d actually prefer a sculpt that doesn’t require a hat.

I’m still hopeful that balloonman is comfortable choosing the sculpt. I thought that was going to be an option we voted on, but I don’t see it listed for some reason.

What are the plans for the hat? I know somebody mentioned StripedBox, and I think Tatiana could definitely pull of a natural look for it.
I agree with BigWayne about the expression not working with the hat though.

Also, will the fat suit have sleeves that connect underneath the gloves like in the movie and on the DX08?

I do like this expression too, definitely had to have an open mouth. If the hair was this flat, you might be able to get a hat on there that looks somewhat natural. If she could somehow shape the inside (with a printed insert or something) to fit the sculpt exactly and then build the soft-goods hat around that?

Rooted hair would solve all of the problems, but that would only add to the costs, and futzing.
Did anyone ever see Night's & Caine's finished?
