Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

Is there anyone with connections who can tie all the three artists together for clothes, accessories and sculpt, so that we as collectors get a better deal on the overall figure... Many want this figure and the aftermarket prices for RM are so high (not just cause its an awesome figure) but more importantly cause there is just no other option out there. There is massive demand and may be the three artists can come together and do something creative, over the top, and there after price it well to their profit, so everyone gets a win win... This headsculpt + outfit + accessories as separates, could become a bit of a nightmare for collectors should one of them decide to back off half way through...

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

Working with other people won't make my prices lower. Its just not how my stuff works.

I think he didn't convey his concern correctly , I think what Leon meant was he wanted to see if the sets could be bundled together so that people interested in the full figure received all parts to assemble a Full brawler. There will be many others that just want to purchase individual pieces for other projects and he like I stated wanted to make sure we got complete sets.

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

What about this ,the list for clothing is numbered correct? , what if we went down that list and see who wanted shoe, hat, belt . Then Mr Robbie can make his list accordingly to that list. That way he doesn't have to do anything but copy and paste and add a note for yes hat ,no shoe yes belt etc.

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.......................

Just have interest lists for the three projects. No need to complicate anything.

People will get the full figure i'm sure. I can't see any party dropping out, because i just can't see a reason.

I dont want your prices to be lowered. I would never want that. Somehow from another thread you got a wrong impression. In that thread I was only raising my concern for some 10k odd aftermarket prices. Why would i want your prices to be lowered when i am spending 2.3 grands on some other sets... I have respect for figures and cost, i just have two rules:

1) i dont pay too much on aftermarket. I am ready to let go. Simple.
2) even if a figure or product is expensive if it is not as good as it should be, i will call a spade a spade.

Nothing i have seen from you has been anything mediocre so why should the price be low. All i am saying sir is that if there could be a way to tie things together and some assurance that some of us could bucket accesories + sculpt + clothing together, it will be so much better for us than we running around if let's say the sculpt guy backs out from some other thread or somehow only x people get clothing instead of the 2x who want it or y people get your accessories instead of 3y who want it...

Some simple concerns sir and nothing to do with price.

So if a person is number 3 on a sculpt list and number 23 on accessories and number 31 on clothing and suddenly someone says they will make 30 clothing sets, what does one do... Thats my only concern. There is a massive demand for this. But if you are saying there is an assurance that enough are being made i am ok either ways.

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

This is what I responded to.

Yes and my view is not the cost, the whole figure, anything will be a better deal for me than a 10 k after market figure, so am not too worried about the cost. I just want to make sure we get all 3. Dont want to be stuck with a head sculpt and clothing and no world class accesories... Or vice versa...

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

I, for the most part, don't put a cap on my runs. I do my best to make them available to everyone that wants one. I can't speak for other artists but that is how I try to do mine. I made 350+ Batman mouths. I think it was determined that it was the largest run of a custom piece ever on this board. And the main reason we stopped was there was too much variation coming from HT's cowls. Was causing problems.

Big runs, means more time to complete. And to be honest, for me, big runs often mean slightly higher prices. The reason for that is it takes a boat load of concentration to stick with a big run. With everything hand made, the set up costs are not that high so they don't get cheaper the more I make.

In regards to the number matching with other lists. These have been in the works for some time and some collectors want to upgrade a figure they already have. I won't deny them a set because they aren't getting the other things. There some people here that have been with me and have wanted these for a few years.

You guys don't need to worry about me. Only thing that will stop my runs is school or death. I am free from now till August. :)

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

Making a full figure with many artists involved is complicated and bundling it up as 1 package is even more complicated given that artists work on different schedules, pace and what have you. I am SURE robbie's stuff will be available for everyone who wants one. C'mon, not many will pay upwards 250 for a knife belt, the bill market is very niche and it's probably safe to say you can get the stuff no problem. Just up on the lists for clothing and headsculpt and pay when asked to, problem solved. :) Don't worry, this is not the cart jacking throat ripping system of Rainman's site...

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

Thank you. That explains. Also, dont ever mention that cart jacking scenario again... Lol...

Re: Bill the Butcher belt and knives?

I just mentioned it because diving into the custom world, that's probably the biggest knife in the heart, it happened to me before so that feeling lingers. Just wanted to reassure you that it doesn't happen here. :lol
