Yeah it is like doing superman or Spider-Man in plain clothes.
But then a full custom John matrix would cost a load of money
Agreed the vest with the gear wouldn't be cheap at all.

My goal is to offer up what no other company (read: Hot Toys, lol) is likely to offer up.
I hear, however, that HT plans on releasing a Commando, late 2014 or 2015. If they do (and of course that's always a big "if" whether HT follows through), but if they do, I'm guessing it'll be the military get-up... and so any money you spend on a civilian John Matrix wouldn't feel wasted or redundant at all...
(It's also possible HT's Commando could end up being a figure of a "remake" or something else entirely...)

Me too. A lot of people have bashed the military version, but only a few are good enough, and nobody ever made available to the rest of us. When I saw this title, excitement went to the roof... but then I saw it is the plain clothing version.

That's really a BIG "if". The military version is awesome, it appears only a few times on screen, but it's way better than his look with common pants and shirt... if you are going to make this character, go with with the best look.

I'm in for whatever Arnie stuff we get, but it'll be awesome if we can get the geared up version as well. I think the vest needs to be modded somewhat to get it to look right, and all the accessories is tough to find seperate, would be great if we can grab it in one go. Whatever the case may be, I'd grab everything Arnold.

The Commando they're releasing is most likely from a remake they're doing next year. Its rumored that the Rock or Hemsworth is the lead role, but that hasn't been confirmed. Another classic movie that doesn't need to be redone. Leave it alone!

If the majority prefer the military version, it would be nice to have the green Henley top as an option. Something like that for a TTM20 is tough to find elsewhere! I'd be in for a head sculpt and any part of a casual outfit available.

I'd prefer the military version. Bashes aren't that easy and all the parts are $$$ not to mention the vest being a pain to put together correctly

Very true its up to you though if you did the military it would be very limited I imagine .i’m interested in the head thats what i’m looking forward too.

Count me in for anything arnie. Either version of commando is fine with me. I actually love the idea of a cliff dangling sully diorama
