Rocco The Sculptor has masterfully sculpted the portraits, hat, beer can, hands, socks/shoes, cigars and sled. The sculpt/s, hands and body will be painted using the most hyperrealistic techniques I can put forth. The sculpt/s will have rooted hair in the back and sideburn areas as well as real hair for the eyebrows that I literally plant 1 small hair at a time. All of these hair rooting techniques will have no visible signs of glue. The Deluxe version head sculpts will have magnets to allow for easy swap-out of the hat no matter which version head sculpt you want to display. His bomber hat will be painted in a realistic dark brown leather like paint/texture with Green flocked Nylon fibers to give it the most realistic detail. I will also be flocking the socks with a black polyester to give it a sleek shiny look for his business crew socks. A highly modified Phicen M31 body will be used for this project. Since the Phicen body skin tone does not reflect the skin tone for cousin Eddie, I will be painting the Phicen body to better match his realistic skin tone. While it’s no easy challenge, it can be done. I will also add real hair to the chest/stomach which will give the most extreme detail of realism. GeeWhiz Customs shows off his expert tailoring skills by bringing us a white towel like cloth texture with blue piping for the iconic robe, along with the white belt and metal buckle. Andy Manoloff (Doggie Docs) brings his latest set of wizard like skills, which includes the resin base, trash pile with reindeer, Santa, sleigh, a couple garbage bags, modifiying/painting the sled, and a light up feature for the deluxe version. He will also provide us with a label that wraps the beer can. Finally a septic hose leading over the trash to either lay in the snow or for Cousin Eddie to hold. Andy will also be providing the box and foam for this project. Branson Mills will be in charge of bringing this snowy environment to life. Creating various hyperrealistic textures like snow for the front yard, concrete for the gutter and asphalt for the street all covered in a bit of snow/ice. A wet look for the septic that is spewing out of the hose with some chunks and splatter on the ground as well as some chunks and splatter on his jet black polished dress shoes. Branson will also build us the black wood base to give a sleek clean finished look to this piece.
I have held nothing back in order to bring you the very best I can possibly provide! I have pushed myself to learn new skills during this process to bring to the community all which we have not seen before. This project has had so many ups and downs as well as trial and errors. I have wanted to quit quite a few times during this process but I am happy with the outcome and I want to give the opportunity for any true “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” fans. I already see areas for improving this piece for the production run. This is truly a piece of art for any collector to have in their collection.
