I'm surprised that people make mention about the price. Usually CK offers guys in suits or things generally a lot more basic than this for $430+. I think with the intricacy involved in the outfit, accessories & weathering this piece looks great and the price makes sense. I've never seen a full custom offering of Max of this quality offered for less.

Where were some of you guys offering suggestions when David's protos dropped?? :lol could've used some constructive criticism in that thread too.

I'm glad Mr. X is open to making some changes though. Making the jacket longer and the other tweaks mentioned will be big improvements.

Well as I think I posted before, I think the price is justifiable relative to his other releases, but it's still just too high for me. It's pretty close to the price of Velvet Morning's basic figure, which had real metal accessories and Yunsil doing the outfit. Based on that, I was kind of hoping this would run closer to $600 than $800. But it is what it is, and I hope it sells well for him.

Am I the only one thinking CK would have gotten more attention/interest if they had announced a "Fury Road" Max?

If the sculpt weren't better and there hadn't been a VM release lately and an sdabbs project, then interest in this would have been fine.

I'd be very interested in anything Fury Road but they should wait until the Blu ray release.

Yeah Road Warrior Max had been a top request for years, it just very quickly satisfied a ton of demand between the two previously mentioned projects.

Decided to get the full fig as I'm not interested in the upcoming HT releases, I hope they can tweak the sculpt, maybe a top notch paint app could make it look better too. As people have mentioned the body used on the promo shots is pretty bad. I will probably use a TT19 if the body is no good.

I found this body for cheap on ebay. Has very simular height and proportions to Mel. Will see how it compares to the ttms.

I have a similar body also made by ZCWO, the body is slimmer in the chest and arms but the waist and legs are a bit on the thick side. proportionally better for a Mel Gibson figure. ( I wonder if I can get a % fee for all the promotion of the body I'm doing ? :lol )

Yeah, watching the movie Mel seems to have fairly muscular legs and not so muscular chest arms etc.

That looks like the extra body I got with the CRAFTONE Fighter Deluxe set. My impression is that it's a bit too beefy for Mel.

I'd love to see that with a jacket on or something. That head - which for my money is the best likeness out there - is a bit small, but looks great on that body.

Does anyone have info about the changes to the zippers? Are there plans to make them smaller or just make them silver? I'm still I two minds between this and the Gee Wizz as their zippers are perfect.

That looks like the extra body I got with the CRAFTONE Fighter Deluxe set. My impression is that it's a bit too beefy for Mel.

That body is huge, very similar to ZCWO, probably the same. Not a good fit for this project... ZC Toys looks very similar to TTM19, has quality but cheaper, it's a better option.

Looks loads better. The ACI/TTM19 waist just looks ridiculously small. I've noticed on a few of the custom clothing threads that use a ttm19 where the pants are fitted around this tiny waist it just screams out barbie doll clothing to me!

Mr x said the zipper won't change, so it will remain white and same size.

I can't tell but is the zipper bigger than the ones on the Gee Whizz set? They managed to paint theirs silver, though it's been know to scratch off.
