Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

Oof...........that's costly.
Is there a payment plan or $2400.00 all at once?
Pre-Pay or when they are ready to ship?
I ask cause at that price a few may drop out and it could get to the Wait list?
Thank you.

Firstly, I have to say sorry about the price of my work.
but I'd like to ask for your patience, you can judge the price again after seeing the completing of my work.
If I finish all of my work , I will take a video and upload here and at that time your guys can leave your comments again.
At the payment plan, I think to get the 30% deposit and the rest will be paid when I ready to ship the package to collectors.

As I’ve read replies on my thread, I guess that there're only few collectors will get these figures.
So, the figures may be able to ship earlier, may be not later on December I guess.

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

If it gets to me, I still want them.
Maybe you can throw in a Custom Package Box for those that take the set too?
Thanks!

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

Ouch! That's almost the same price as serangs Hendrix and the current suit is one you could buy....... The price for this is crazy :/

Do you know about Serang?
He is brilliant figure artist. I work with Serang for many things.

I made 2 guitars, necklace, mic for his Hendrix project.

Wow that's awesome! Good to know that now :)

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

No way! YOU made those guitars nomake?! Bravo they are incredible. :clap
Yeah, not sure why people are so surprised by the price. It is expensive but no more so than what Rainman, Beto and Serang are charging and I'd say more technically complex than many of their projects. That said, you'd definitely have to be a hardcore Daft Punk fan to weather the expense. I think some people that say they're out now might change their minds once nomake presents his video, though.

I am guessing the same thing, but like you say, gotta be a hardcore fan to put down this kinda scratch, not that I don't personally think the craftsmanship is worth every penny.

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

Exactly. Doubt we will see any 'Get Lucky' hipsters slap down the electronic dust for these.

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

at 2400 hundid....and a deposit of 30 percent of that (700+)...with the balance being 1700+...is a very heavy pill to swallow...i started to like daft punk in the late 90s but i was moreso looking at the craftmanship of the helmets and the LEDs... i did not anticipate EACH being 1200....maybe for the set...then yes...but EACH?!?!...this is definitely a time where a 3-4 payment system would help maximize his sales while minimizing the pockets of the potential customers that would bite if the financial burden wasn't as high....but the deposit and balance is just crazy...no one is taking anything from the artistic ability in this...just the business build up for the figures themselves...2 guys in suits...shoes...2 pairs of hands...and the intricate helmets...like i said the helmets are what attracted me to the thread..the LEDs is what got me excited...the price kinnda kicked me in the b.a.l.l.s....unless nomake (who is still new around these parts) changes his own policy or MAYBE adjusts the pricing....i don't know too many people on a list of 12 that will bite on this...great piece of intricate detailing

You don't need to model his business. I am pretty sure nomake is quite capable of making decisions and running his own business without your wonderful insight and opinions.

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

not modeling their business for them at all...just trying to figure it out or trying to see his/her point of view...of course he/she is at liberty to do what he or she feels like doing..it is afterall their product...BUT sometimes inquiring minds do like to know how one comes up with the conclusion...which may or may not help with a decision to purchase a product...which i realize not too many folk either don't like to do around here or just ignore it...nothing against the member or you for defending him/her just wondering...

I just don't believe it is any of our business how nomake or any artist on here conducts his/her business, and comes up with his/her pricing schemes etc.

It really is simple. nomake tells us how much to pay and when. It can then go two ways, you can or you can't. If you can't, I don't think that gives you the right to start trying to remodel his business or reduce the price of the product to suit ones needs.

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

i can see you are getting upset...fine...but just as you have, apparently, a given right to defend...i also have a right to ask...like i mentioned before...these types of inquiries and answers might help in a decision (mine) SPECIALLY given the dollar amount they are asking...i'm not about putting that type of money out there just because someone says thats what it goes for without some questions...i do have better business sense then that...if me suggesting better scenerios that would ultimately help them out more then me then i guess i am the bad guy here...:slap...:cuckoo:

Help them or you out?

Re: Electronic duo by nomake ※Closed

how is me potentially paying 2000 or 2400 really helping me out?....at the end of this transaction...they still get the money for their product...yes...or no?? I guess i'm failing to see who is going to feel this more if a transaction is to take place at the end of the day...

my suggestions (one of which did include a price reduction) was more so if they did not want to lower their pricing...fine...i accepted that by saying make it into a payment plan...if they are not willing to do that then i have to just walk away and admire the craftmanship from afar...

and lastly...i don't know why you felt it was necessary to somehow come to someone else's rescue when i don't think it was warranted...i never attacked or said anything negatively...now i'm trying to understand your point of view in all this...:lol
