To your point about a payment plan, I've thought about similar things with customerizers in the past, as it gives the illusion that one's not spending as much as one really is (I sometimes use payment plans through SSC for that reason even though I technically do not need to do so). However, it seems to me that if one a) doesn't have the money on-hand or b) have a credit line or some such that one could 'loan themselves' the money and pay back within a few months, then one should not be buying these. Really it's crazy irresponsible otherwise. For nomake, it would be a huge hassle to take payments and for sure some of those who make the first or second payment will end-up dropping out before the final payment's made and nomake would have to refund them/find a new buyer. It really makes no sense for them to offer.
As for overall price, I seem to recall you having this exact conversation in regards to the Driver figure and eventually you ended-up just getting it anyway. I dunno, these figures if anything look technically more complex than Driver and will make a pretty epic display for anyone that loves the band. Although I'd prefer not to be priced-out myself (and I pretty much am... I could do it but it wouldn't really be too responsible since we're buying a house soon), I'm OK with it since these figures are going to be made to a very high standard and likely will never be equalled. Instead of everyone and their dog having a set, it'll be kept to a small group of super hardcore Daft Punk fans that'll figure out a way to make it work. Keep hearing people say that they want to buy their own suits but unless one's buying Kato anything else is going to cheapen nomake's work, IMO.
