did a little work tonight on it, added detailing to helmet, filled a few dips &started the shoulder armour

maybe we should even start to put together list of where we are finding stuff we might need as well. like chainmail............no way in hell i would attempt to put some together......:lol but does anyone carry this in 1/6th? i assume some knight figures have this.

Mmm.... Chain mail, I know I've seen some sold, is it ingnite? Who did the knight figures? But I might give making it a go, give the daughter something to do over the holidays lol. The rings will cost about $20 I reckon (the same. I used on revan) it's just the time and finger cramps making it

i watched a show (i believe it was shark week on discovery) that showed a guy that makes the sharkproof suits.........which is basically the chainmail suit. each loop individually hooked together............to make a whole suit.....the whole process had me....:thud:

respect if you handmake that.............:lecture

Tried the chain mail, doesn't seem too hard,just need to work out a couple of the details. I did 3 separate rows but got confused when it came to adding extra rows, kinda did my head in Haha!

new Wips, the Belt plate, thought I'd post a pic of the latest effort while waiting for the body to arrive. I haven't cured it yet as the sculpy was a little to soft to hold the detail so I let it air a little and play tomorrow as you can see it's got a demons face, scrolled edges to match the helm and a couple of brass plates where it's tied off. plus a sample of the chain.
I've decided to limit it ten sets so if there's a couple more who'd like to lock in your interest that would be great....

Ps found some perfect size leather strips today at the local hobby store perfect for straps too

Bought the Ignite Viking Hauberk tonight, it goes to the knees hopefully with some modifications I can turn it into a full length chain skirt

Thanks Barryo, can't wait for this body to arrive to test fit, the helm & belt look badass together. What do you guys reckon to the helmet hollow or solid (could work either way)

that looks awesome so far.
as far as a removable helmet............i personally wouldn't want it removable. to make it fit a head it might need to be oversized a bit or go to a smaller head. but whatever is easier for you to make.
i have no idea what he looks like without the helmet............nor do i want to :lol

Shock i can pressure cast these if for if u would like to take a different approach other than roto!

I would prefer solid cast. And there isn't any reason to have a removable helm.
