Accessory [DoggieDoc] INTEREST: Jean-Luc Picard Captains Chair

Hello, folks!

DoggieDoc & I are collaborating* on a Star Trek TNG Captain's Chair for Jean-Luc Picard! TNG 1:6 collectors may never get additional crew, but at least you can have a respectable bridge chair for Captain Picard! We're opening preorders for the Enterprise NCC 1701-D captains chair now.

DoggieDoc will be updating the renders while we gauge interest and then we'll start taking deposits with balance due at time of completion/shipping. Please read the necessary information below.

Enterprise NCC 1701-D Captain's Chair: The most accurate 1:6 reproduction of this icon chair ever produced. We are exploring interchangeable and battery powered light-up "padd" UIs on the arms. Chair design is screen accurate as close as possible from screenshots, research, etc. The show had several iterations of the captains chair, the one we're basing this project on is shown below.

Each chair will come with a CoA and custom designed packaging.

Also considering adding an exclusive reproduction of Kamin's flute from "The Inner Light" (episode 125).



* "collaborating" means DoggieDoc listens to me beg for this on a regular basis ?

Price to be determined based on production and interest.

- Currently taking names of interested folks to help determine the exact numbers for production.

- Production is already underway, and we will post here once the design is set for deposits.

I'm interested as well. Although I would hope you don't rely too much on that first pic, as it's from a set reproduction (which you can tell from the short upper level) and the chair is not very accurate to TNG.

Yup your render looks perfect. I was just referring to that shot above.

And it would be great if you could get those bars in front of the armrests to light up as well.

I'm curious what sort of arm-rest Padd displays folks would like to see?

I'm think i'd like the frequently used display with two columns of buttons on one side, and a view of the enterprise on the other.

My enterprise view is admittedly not from the show (it's an android phone screen shot) but seems cool.

Just a thought, but it would be cool if you could incorporate a larger base with burgundy carpeting over it, as the chair doesn't look like it would be very stable at the moment with Picard sitting on it. Or I guess we can always just create our own.

Don't worry we have a plan for stability. It may or may not involve a carpet but it'll be stable for sure.
