I think it's dark blue (close to black but not black)

But in all the shots it appears black
Only on a few days it seems to be dark blue
Above, the guys suggested that the author of the costume mentioned that Benjamin wears black colors.
And there's also a good comparative photo

Often times different costumes are used for different scenes. It's been a while since I viewed the film, but it's possible there are (at least) two different overcoats, in this case black AND blue. Seems like choosing one or the other would be correct. Thanks for listening.
