Well, maybe you need to grab a few more beers and have some more fun. I think a lot of people (more than for Conan) would love to see top notch Terminator stuff.

What version do we need?
- ALL.

Hi ullipekka!
I'm very interested in this new Arnie!!
I want his appearance ver.(long hair) on T1, especially!
Thanks

These were some pictures I posted before. Lots of reference pictures to go around. Lots of Terminator fans here.

It does. As discussed way back it'd be great to see a sculpt with correct hair for T1 and T2 and his trademark squint, possibly with lip-sneer combo.
It would be interesting to see what Maximus might be able to do with real hair, especially for T1 Police Assault and T2 Uncle Bob versions. Might be the only way to get that proper look.

Absolutely! Haired options would be so cool for the realism factor

I would be in for:

(1) uncle bob T2 sculpt with slight eye squint and perhaps the smallest hint of grin

(2) technoir longer haired The Terminator sculpt

(3) police shoot out The Terminator sculpt

Anything and everything from T1 please.

I would second this, but let's not get greedy. Tech Noir and Police Assault are a must. I think they are only going to be willing to do so many versions. But I do like the way you think.

I think with the Police Assault the best idea would be to not bother with the endoskeleton eye and instead do this:

Basically the same look but it'd mean getting that ''missing link'' headsculpt that Hot Toys never made.

Sculpting can do the job - we've seen it with NECA and the Enterbay BD T-800. Hot Toys is just incompetent with Arnie's hair for reasons completely unknown.

I was sort of thinking the same thing (using the missing link version), but it's like trading one big mistake for another. It's just not kosher to use this for the police assault version, although I realize it would be easier to produce.

As for using sculpted hair, it depends on the amount of detail going into it. The detail in the hair on the Pumping Iron Arnie would not produce a good effect for PA or Uncle Bob.

I wouldn't see it that way. I mean he wasn't wearing an Endoeye prosthetic under those Gargoyles and there was only 2 brief scenes where you see the Endoeye at all - both of which were the animatronic puppet. The existing Hot Toys sculpt can pass for that more than it passes for the real Arnie. But we completely lack a sculpt representing how he looked in the parking garage/tunnel car chase scene - arguably the scariest he looked. If there's a trade-off I think it's easily worth it.

Cant wait to see any proto that is done. If it is for T1 then my priority would be a really great Police shootout/Bike chase sculpt, as the HT one was a bit underwhelming. I still think the sculpts we got with the 136 are pretty good.

I'm not a big OCD guy or anything, but that PA Arnie in my sig has an endo eye. I removed the blood from the BD sculpt that came with the 136, and did some slight repainting. Could have stopped there, but it had to have the endo eye, so I installed one of those as well. Just doesn't seem right without it. Even though you can see his real eye when he's at the desk, it's still part of the character. Anyway, I have the missing link head, so that doesn't mean much to me. Can't really even display it properly without a squad car (which someone may actually be working on.)

You know what's a bit of a complicating factor with Terminator heads? Bodies. What bodies are generally being used and therefore what size should the heads be.

Tech Noir Terminators (MMS136) - I think everyone is still using the stock body here, it works well. Therefore any head should be the same size as the existing MMS136 heads, maybe a tiny bit bigger and certainly no smaller.

Police Shootout Terminators (MMS238) - aaargghh!! It gets tricky here. A lot of us have kitbashed something else entirely, the stock body sucks for Arnie's T1 build. Probably the best combo would be a return to MMS136 bodies and using new heads that match in size with the Tech Noir head(s?) That would keep the T1 figures consistent and theoretically more accurately proportioned. But MMS136 bodies aren't easy to come by now. The most common and easiest-to-get body will be the MMS238. Does that body even fit an MMS136-sized head properly? I'm sure I must have tried it in the past but I have a feeling there was some sort of problem. Giraffe neck or something.

Uncle Bob Terminator 2 T-800 - the DX10 body is probably the most suitable for his body-size and shape in that film. Unfortunately it has a horrible neck but I don't think we can do anything about that. The DX10 head is maybe slightly bigger than an MMS136 head and I think is sized about right for its own body. So, IMO, any T2 head should be the size of a DX10 head. Heck maybe the T1 heads would end up being that size too because they too ought to have longer faces like DX10 has.

Thoughts?

You bring up a very good point, a-dev. I think you are right about the size of the 136. It's pretty good, but maybe it could be just a shade bigger. If that were the case, then maybe that slight increase would look correct on the 238 as well. Of course, the different heads could be made to different sizes. I think the aim is to use existing stock bodies to accommodate the most number of people.

For consistency across figures, I would hope that one head size could be used for Tech Noir and Police Assault. Not sure how that would work for T2 figures. It still remains to be seen what if any options we get.

I have always thought the 136 body was the most accurate to Arnie's physique in T1, maybe the smaller head helps accentuate the size of the body. My 238 figs bodies have been moded with chest/neck pieces from the 136 body on the PS shootout fig and the chest piece/neck from the kaustic plastic body on the Tanker hit fig.

For me the Head size of the 136 is a tiny bit too small and the head size of the 238 is a tiny bit too big.

Well, let's hope that UlliPekka can get a nice T1 rendition done. If we can come up with just the right size, then just a hair change would do for both Tech Noir and Police Assault. I would be ok without the endo eye for the Police Assault IF the likeness was spot on. I doubt I would consider it an upgrade to the MMS238 otherwise.

Edit: Since my Conan just landed in the US, I can check to see exactly how that size compares to the 136 and the 238.
