Re: 2nd Run of Fullmetal's Rocketeer Helmet and Jet Pack ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS

So your telling me that 10 ordered the outfit from Yunsil? There were 5 who bought the set from Jon...leaving 5 more in need of a set. 2 have already confirmed with a third one on the way. So there is no way Jon can make these in resin. Resin cost for these is relatively cheap, about $15-20. It is the silicone molds which can become pricey at $25 to 50. He would have to cast at least 1 for the helmet and 3 for the rocket pack, I said AT LEAST. So it would at maximum cost him $200 to make the molds. Now, if there is 1 buyer, he would have to brunt the entire cost of the molds. 1=$200. But if we have 5 buyers, $200/5=$40. This is on top of cost of making it.

No, 20 people were in the run and got the clothing, I estimate around 10 finding their own solution... some went with Jon's set, some got the medicom figure, leaving the other half (me included) still in need of the jetpack/helmet set.

As I said, in the other thread the project was incomplete, final pieces would be unpainted and without harness. If Jon offers a completely finished product, ready to use and with his well known quality, I believe even more people would show interest... those 10 of the other thread are practically guaranteed.

I was going to put up resin ones done by Jon, but it looks like Rocco making them.:clap

I don't think so, nobody actually commissioned him, he just accepted to take the project that never went forward... even if he did, Jon's product is finished, delivered painted and with harness... for me a way better option. I'm still a strong defender of this option.

Except it costs more than a morgage payment........

For most of us, spending thousands of dollars on a toy accessory is not an option in the slightest. Who cares if it is painted, finished, and harnessed if you spent a ridiculous amount of money on it? If you have the money and really can't find a single better thing to spend it on then all the power to you, but most of us don't and need a cheaper option.

Resin is definitely the way to go.

I don't think you've seen the entire thread, I can't afford the metal version too, like many others who participated in the clothing run. Since I saw this thread I'm trying to convince Dave and Jon to make a fully finished version in resin, with jetpack and helmet both painted and harness included. That's what I prefer over Rocco's version...

Re: Fullmetal's Rocketeer Helmet and Jet Pack in Metal & Resin

So this means Fullmetal will do Resin Versions?
How much will the Sets be?
Look on thread #1. Taking interested parties now. Remember, we must get 10 people to get the prices for the resin jetpack and helmet. Painting and harness the prices will not change.

Well I ordered one of the Metal Sets with you. But if a Resin Set will be made then I would rather save a Grand and get a Resin Set. If the Resin doesn't happen then I would still take the Metal Set. Thanks.

I agree here. I would go resin if that is an option. If it cannot be done I will continue with the metal option.

"Pictures don't do these justice."
You know what Jason, that is what I tell everyone about Jon's work! Thank you so very much!
You can see a million pics of Jon's craft, but you have to see one up live and in person to really appreciate his work. It is a hundred (thousands or millions to some) times better! Thank you Jason for pointing this out.
