Okay, I wanted to show you all this bit of progress. Both of his arms are nearly complete. I'm still working on casting one and the other only needs some minor detailing before molding.

I was starting to think the hand castings were going to put the kibosh on things. Luckily the left side mold is working well and I'm currently casting those. I think I may have figured out the issue on the other side as well. Either way I'm back at it. I appreciate everyones patience.

Luckily most of these will only need ten casts each. Once those are finished I'll starting cleaning parts and prepping for paint. Currently mixing some colors I think match the screen used puppet really well. More updates to come!

I wish. I feel bad these aren't being painted already. It's been a crazy couple weeks but I was able to finish the arm casts and start test painting. Still a few more things to do but I'm inching closer by the day. If I can get my camera to take proper pictures I'll post the tests and get some opinions.

While I've been sorting out production I thought it was important to get my painting process down for the figure. I wanted to be as faithful as possible to the full body Slimer puppet. You can hardly appreciate the color and detail that went into it because what you saw on screen was mostly a disgusting blob. lol







The paint test below shows the basic color scheme. This is minus any highlights or shading.







As for the mouth it's an extremely quick paint job meant for a color match only. Not at all the final look. I'll likely darken some areas of the gums and put a lighter coat of brown on the teeth.

I'm working on one of the final updates for this project now. It won't be long until these have moved into the paint stage. I've also split the interest list in two. I'll do the first set of ten and then move onto the second set a bit later. Anyone who's made a deposit or payment is in the first list. I also have a couple little extras in the works like certificates etc.

While time sort of got away from me I've been casting about every other day. I'm learning more than I ever wanted to. lol Mainly the limitations of resin casting small parts. The same issues I had with the hands has carried over to nearly every other piece. All that really means is I'm casting double or triple to get a good piece. I'll be dropping pics of the final casts at the end of the week.

We're one step closer guys. While I'd planned to split the casting process in half I did a few more while I was at it. Barring any complications I'll move onto parts clean up and then paint.
