Thank you all for the comments. They really get me stoked. :rock Working on the arms now but the hardest part will be the hands.

I've got the complete boxed Mattel set and have been waiting for some good add-ons before I break them out and start modding.

Looking superb, Riggs. Very impressive.

I'll have to start hunting for headsculpts. I know Rocco/Spenser/Snyder-Man did some etc, but would be good to get some updated versions.

Much appreciated Anx10us. I got excited when I saw Trevor Grove doing Venkman until I noticed it was quarter scale. Maybe one of the 3D sculptors on the site will do newer versions.

Yeah, it needs a revisit IMO.

So I've worked out the basics of the arms. I really wanted some movement at the elbows but anything other than a simple plug would ruin the socket I would make. However, the final fit may be tight enough to do the trick.

The hands will take some time but we're nearing the end.

That's looking great. A true piece of art right there.

What type of clay are you using?

Re: He's An Ugly Little Spud - Update - 12/12/15

That's the best Slimer I've seen. Great sculpting Riggs! Looking forward to this one

I use Monster Clay. I like it because it has less tack than most and holds detail well.

Ah, I've read about that stuff. It's reusable, no? Looks very good for that detail.

I shall be buying and experimenting. Cheers, buddy.

A crude start to one of the hands. Just laying out the shapes. Standard ttm19 hand beside it for size comparison.

:clap Really looking forward to this, Riggs. It's looking absolutely spot on.

As I expected these are going to take a while. Very intricate. To the point I'll be sculpting and detailing the fingers separately. I wish my camera could capture the details a little better but here you go:

Decided to take a break from the hands. It strains the eyes and I really need a magnifier. lol Anyway, I plan on offering a version of this with a stand so I put one together. It's about 90% complete and the only thing left is creating some sort of cradle at the top.

My question is would you all like it with or without the name plaque?

:clap Slime looking good!

My question is would you all like it with or without the name plaque?

Could the plate be separate to the base? An add-on? I personally would love to have the option of either or, if that's possible?

It's tricky with a figure that flies - working out how to display it. I've seen them shown with clear stands, wire etc. . .

When I first saw what you were doing, I had a think on how I'd display it and came to the conclusion I'd probably make/find/buy a table on wheels, with a cloth over it and food strewn about as if he's eating it. Then sit him on something behind it, to hide the base entirely. Just one idea I had. A lot of work, but would look cool, I think.

I wasn't sure I could do it without messing up the aesthetics but let me look into it a bit more tonight. I may come up with something.

I had a similar idea. You can find plenty of sixth scale food but the carts a bit difficult. The desk that comes with the workshop Tony from IM3 has a decent look. It even has the rollers at it's feet but would need a good deal of modding. Plus it's pricey.
