Re: [Masterworks]-Inspector .44

Good news, folks! Denny has decided to take on the project. Option A won out, so, the opening look will be the one that is happening. I'll continue to update the thread as I learn more.

Re: **UPDATED**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44

Do you feel lucky, Punk?
Yes!!! I FEEL LUCKY!! this figure will be awesome, masterworks never disappointed me!

Re: **UPDATED**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44

Now that the look has been chosen. Denny wanted me to see if everyone would like this as an expression:

Personally, I feel like it would be a welcome change and would make Harry more unique when juxtaposed with Blondie.

Re: **UPDATED**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44

For Harry character I would prefer more seriouse expression; with wide open eyes

But I'll be glad also for smirking one. It's interesting, unique for 1/6 look.

I can see that, but I feel, for that scene, the smirk perfectly embodies Harry's attitude. I stated my position on the first page. I feel like the whole film is an evolution, of sorts. By the time he's holding Scorpio at gunpoint, Harry's pissed off beyond reason. At the beginning, though; that's one of the biggest bluffs in film history, and I think the smirk captures the magic of that moment. Harry triumphant; having been in control of the situation the entire time.

I absolutely agree with all things you have wrote here:)It's great moment to display. Most important is to catch likness in such expression and really young look.I just wanted more open eyes to be absolutely different from cowboy sculpt.

Re: **UPDATED**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44

I get the logic with the smirk for that scene, but I really don't think it is what people think of when they think of Dirty Harry. That character personifies the grim, stony faced Clint look. Also, it is tough to hit on an expression like that. Having a smirking figure also really limits the poses that the figure can pull off.

In same time-if I remember correctly-in very this gray jacket outfit we can see Clint only in this"hotdog scene" and ib that case this expression is most significant for episode. But I sugest to make two heads if possible-

Re: **UPDATED**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44

There is a deal with why the Smirk has been chosen. Firstly as you all know Masterworks has already released a Clint Figure. The stony expression is very very apt for Blondie who is a very very silent type guy. Plus there has been a Dirty Harry figure by another talented artist in the past which went with that expression.
The slight smirk in my opinion not only ensures that its not a redux of the previous Clint as well as previous Inspector Callahan.

Plus it also makes a unique Clint sculpt which may later be a unique representation, just like how the Patrick Bateman screaming sculpt which became more popular than the regular one became...

The smirk IMO does embody the cocky and hard case personality of Callahan... Plus it goes well with the clothes and the iconic scene...
