[IDM Customs] John M - The Coyote Cowboy (Painted Sculpt Update Pg. 1)

John M is my all time favorite game character and it's been a project I have been wanting to tackle for such a long time. But I've always been fearful of western gun holsters, and of course, the sheer amount of parts and things that he comes with. I've been chatting with a few fellow collectors who urged me to move forward with him if there's enough support to lower the pricing on him. Obviously I need to finish up a few customs first so this is going to be a slow roast and it's just a heads up for people who are interested in joining. It will probably be September or October (hopefully sooner) before I get everything completely ready and begin shipping and I'll post updates here. This is going to be a huge undertaking and some things may change depending on availability, but I will note if anything changes here.

Estimated Pricing and Timeframe
The estimated pricing will be $630 shipped for US and $650 for International. This is a fully completed custom figure. The price is higher than I expect, but it's because of the sheer amount of parts he's going to come with and what I plan to do with him. Here is what I have planned:

- 2x Sculpted black gloved pistol hands

- Real leather pants belts with sculpted buckle

- Real leather revolver harness with hand embossed pattern and real metal bullets
- Real leather Winchester shoulder harness with hand embossed pattern
- Real leather rifle ammo sling with real metal bullets
- Real leather functional side bag
- Real rope Lasso
- Knife with real leather sheath

- 2x Molotov cocktails

Please only ask to be added if you're seriously considering joining with the delivery time frame and pricing estimate. I hate for people to drop out and have people who are still on the list have the burden of splitting the cost or not having the figure made. If anyone is interested considering what I have noted, please let me know. We need a minimum of 15 people to get the pricing where it's at. If lower, we might have to adjust the price according to the people who are still interested. Let's make this happen guys!

08/04/13 Update: Molds and first casting test finished. Sculpt painted and hat completed.

05/29/13 Update: Finished sculpt on the head and hat. I'm going to sculpt up the accessories and work on the clothing next.

God damnit! You are killing me! One of my favourite characters! But i've already got Drake,Elizabeth and Dr Strange (if there is enough interest to make this happen)on pre-order. If he drops around October i think i might be able to pay in monthly installments and have him until Christmas. Or if the job goes well this summer i might pay him before he is even released! One way or another i'll pay for him relatively soon. There is such a payment plan (with monthly or paying half the price when he's ready and the other half when i gather the cash),right? Also, is he a full figure (body, painted h/s, painted sculpted parts, etc..)?


PS: Sorry for backing out from Starkiller but i didn't "485$" like the character. Sure the games were fun but not memorable. Marston on the other hand is among my all time favourite video game characters. I will not back from this one since he comes packed with a buttload of awesome accessories and will be the center piece of my shelf! He will look great next to Elizabeth and the Booker i'm kitbashing.

After seeing your Lone Ranger, this would be awesome, but I'd rather wait until closer to the time frame to see whether or not I'm interested. By then, we'd probably have some great pics, and I'd be able to tell if I could pull it off or not.

I'm not a gamer, but I love the look of the the character and I love westerns.

And don't worry about the payments. We have a while's to go and I'm very flexible and we'll work something out. Jen and I are more about the creation and we love to tackle characters that we are really passionate about. Once I wrap up the sculpts on Starkiller and Mad Max I'll work on Elizabeth (which is very soon).

Yup, no worries there. I'll be posting updates to this thread as I work on the bits and like I mentioned, we have several months to get to that 15 number. If we go past it, it will help with the cost or we can add more bits to it, but try to keep the cost the same.

Some things I want to add would be his duster coat, which is my favorite look in the game and perhaps another gun or the lawmen outfit.

Awesome news! After the dust settles down (maybe next year) you could do a Booker to go along with Liz. I'm sure that when WIP images are released more people will be interested in both John and Liz. Another fig that you could knock out the park would be a new 52 Dr Fate! All these hieroglyphics would look magnificent (maybe next year). Overall, we need more comic book and video game figures. Sure classic movies are nice and all but a Spidey shelf with all of his rogues would be phenomenal!

Deadly Assassin!!! Eyepatches make everything cooler.

I used to have the whole game unlocked, but my PS3 had a "catastrophic GPU failure". . . their words, not mine

So, I lost e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g on my PS3. 4 years worth of game-saves. Let that be a lesson to you all, back up your save data to an external source after every major accomplishment.

So, now I have to replay the whole game to get it all again.
