Re: [IDM Customs] John M - The Coyote Cowboy (Sculpt Update Pg. 1)

Hey John, I was thinking about it, and, as much as I'd like to get this piece, there's a lot of stuff on the way. Believe me when I tell you that I'd rather hold out and see if I could swing it, but, the fact of the matter is, I feel that it would be unfair to the wait listers to find out that I couldn't swing it when the time came and leave one of them having to try to rush to get funds together. So, with that being said, I'd like to bow out, now, if that's alright.

No worries. I've updated the list.

I should have some pictures pretty soon. I'm molding the hat now and should have a cast for painting along with the head. Jen finished the outfit and it looks fantastic! I'm gonna weather it up a bit and start work on the holsters next.

Thanks, John. If things change in the next few months, I might see about joining the wait list, but, like I said, I want to make sure that others aren't put in a difficult position because of me. I definitely am sticking around the thread, though, and I can't wait to see how this guy turns out! That news about the head and outfit is fantastic, by the way!

I had a chance to finish the molds on the head and hat, casted a set and did a paint test on my custom John Marston head sculpt. I'm really proud of this head and feel this is my best work yet, but that's just me and I'm really happy with how the head came out. He was tricky to sculpt because, like with most video game characters, the render varies from the in-game, which varies from the promo artwork. So I started sculpting with the promo images and mixing in some of the cut-scene images. Anyways, he's looking good and Jen already finished his first draft of the outfit. So I'll start working on his holsters and try to finish up his accessories next.

I think the hat turned out really well. The hat is casted in a soft, flexible resin and fits perfectly to the head. I made the band with real leather and real metal eyelets. I need to figure out a way to make the feather since it's so tiny and I couldn't find any real feathers that small. :D

Damn, that looks great, John! I'm kinda sad that I had to drop out, but I'll gladly live vicariously through the rest of you guys.:lol

John, that sculpt is perfection. Your painting skills are incredible too.

Wow just discovered this thread. Sculpt looks fantastic and def subbed to this thread. Looking forward to seeing the final results!
