About the stand, my personal opinion is that a basic Hot Toys stand with the MGS2 logo is more than enough for me. Not only is the minimalistic design is cool, but we all know it'll keep the cost down.

The real question is that what color is the number "2". I vote red, as that was the color used to represent Snake in the game.

Completely agreed. I'm pretty certain that I can photoshop my own Hot Toys decal for the stand.

I said this earlier in the thread but when i first approached John about the MGS2 Snake he said he was interested in doing MGS2 Snake, MGS1 Snake and Gray Fox

No mention of Raiden but it doesn't mean it couldn't be done i suppose.
I would imagine MGS1 Snake, Gray Fox and Liquid are more desirable characters anyway. I know they are to me!

I love Liquid's charachter but I hate his look. A guy in coat, naked torso just doesn't fit on my shelf

Yeah, MGS1 Snake and Gray Fox are the main characters I would like, as well, though I imagine Fox would be really tricky to do as a custom figure. I would probably prefer a version of Ocelot over Liquid just because he was a major villain in so many games. And Elvis makes a good point :lol

I used to feel the same when i was younger and i suppose i do kinda still feel that. I make an exception in this instance though

I wouldn't have Liquid as a stand alone figure but i feel you kinda need him if you have a MGS1 Snake

I'd rather pursue other characters long before Raiden comes into the picture. Either Liquid Snake or Psycho Mantis.

I'll give you that he's not as memorable as Liquid was.

Ocelot was only cool in the first MGS. Liquid's removal from the series has left a major hole in the rest of the Snake era games. Kojima with that whole ghost arm nonsense, and then writing it out of the story completely with BS MGS4 >_>

I don't mind Liquid's look, he always looked like a revolutionary or dictator in his FOX-HOUND coat.

If a MGS remake happens, they need to retcon and not kill Liquid. I agree that not only was Ocelot not as cool as Liquid, especially in appearance, but the "merger" of their characters was a disservice to both of their characters. They had different agendas, and the one thing I liked about it was Liquid getting some sort of revenge on Ocelot.

As far as a custom figures, I'd be down for MGS1 Snake, Liquid, and Cyborg Ninja, then Raiden. I can't imagine the work that would go into Cyborg Ninja. I'm honestly pretty happy with the PAK version, but a 12" version with a seamless body would be nuuuuts!

Whatever the reason, he was a major character in MGS 1, 2, 3, and 4.
