Guys I heard back from Mr. X. My question for him was whether he'll offer a second option of casual outfits to this set---his answer was "I am not sure"

I've already made up my mind and decided to just order the head sculpts. Those suits and accessories are easily bashable. OR I will go ahead and hope that there will be an interest thread set up for a run of the casual outfits being made by either Yunsil or Iris. I am curious to see if there will be enough of interest from you that would go in for the casual outfits to be made?

I would be in for casual outfits but one thing to consider is that Iminime's sculpts are necked. For Henry his casual outfits had an exposed neck/chest area which would leave an unsightly neck joint.
I thought of commissioning Yunsil for the outfit in the picture but did not proceed for that reason. You could cut off the neck or button him up but I wasn't too fond of either of those options.

I would be happy with pretty much any look BESIDES the one Iminime went with. I'd even like the cream suit from the "funny guy" scene - something that stands out beyond "black suit". I also wouldn't mind "faking" the exposed area by having the shirt unbuttoned but pulled close - like what Iminime did with Tuco.

Oh crap you really made a good point about the necked sculpts. I agree that would not look good with the chest area being exposed due to Henry's casual outfits. Made me realize that it makes sense why Mr.X went with the suits from the wedding scene. Now I really need to think about this some more! [emoji31] I'll be racking my brain over this d**n thing- to order the Trio FS or the Head Sculpts... :gah

Will any of you try to convince me in buying the trio full sets? Or buy the head sculpts and bash the figures? Help me out please! Lol

I still prefer the casual outfits as they were worn for most of the movie and were much more representative of the era.

So do I however we got to think of that unsightly neck joint since all of CKs sculpts comes with a neck. If we could solve that issue then I'm all for it! I agree with you that the style of the casual outfits were the most popular look back then. I think that would be much more attractive looking figures on the shelf. I've got enough figures in a suit already. Lol

Just how will we fix the issue of the neck line that'll be shown with an open collar shirt?

You frankenstein cut the neck off and use a muscle body like a ttm19 or bruce lee etc, that is the only way

Honestly yes it's a good value but I had been having a hard time pulling the trigger on this set. Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies. There's just something about this set that makes me wary. I can't put my finger on it. I might just buy the head sculpts. Knowing how indecisive I have been for weeks about this, sometimes it's better to walk away and give this a pass.

Yeah, I think the price is pretty decent for 3 full figures and I wouldn't mind paying for it if I can afford it but personally, I would just get the head sculpts because I came to realize how much joy I get out of kitbashing a figure especially if it's a character that you know like a back of your hand!

Ever since I've joined 1/6 community (last September), I've been kitbashing my own De Niro figure and I'm STILL in the process of it.. It sure took me a long time looking for the right material since I'm such a newbie in this hobby but after many trials and errors, I think I'm almost at the finishing line with my very first 1/6 figure!

I can afford to buy the 3 full figures. I just didn't feel right in doing so especially with the sculpts of Henry and Tommy not looking spot on. Don't get me wrong they do look good, good enough at this point for the collectors to buy the set. However I am picky. Lol I wanted every detail of Liotta's facial features to be shown clearly. This one just didn't do it for me and I really am thinking of buying just the head sculpts. Because like you, I enjoy kit bashing very much and it's fun out scouring for parts, accessories and outfits. It doesn't matter how long that takes us to complete our own figure. The big difference between buying the full set and kit bashing is that you feel more proud and self accomplished with those figures you kit bashed. There is a sense of making it more personal.
I am a huge fan of DeNiro. Already got a full set of Vito ordered and am on the list for Sam Rothestein. [emoji4]

That seems to make the most sense and is the easiest fix. Also, when Liotta wears that outfit, is the shirt always unbuttoned that much? I'm wondering if it is buttoned a little higher in another scene. I need to go watch it again.

I agree with Amstel. I've been looking for this trio for a bit and I was so excited to have found them I was hyped to purchase them instantly but the more I visit the pics I see there is a slight ehh moment that I just can't spot on. The sculpts looks great, as do the suits minus Tommy's not being exact but whatever. I kind of think their faces are too smoothed out kind of giving them a younger look that throws them a bit off. Maybe need to be repainted and detailed to look a bit older. Including Jimmys hair of course. I think if they just looked more older it would be more of a pass.

You see this artist showed more detail in showing the aged points of their look.

Does anyone have the original painted WIPs of the sculpts from FB and the full spread of pics available? Most of the pics posted in this thread aren't showing up and the dropbox pics that were in the ordering email are gone
