I always thought about the body for these guys and I saw Denny mention in the Butch & Sundance thread that there is a narrow body with muscle torso. I haven't seen it yet myself but that would solve a big portion of sorting out the details of these guys.

Well, the Princess Bride is currently at the top of my grail figures loooong way ahead of the next one on that list...so both Iñigo and Wesley (and Fezzik...one can dream  ) would be a day one instant pre-order for me. I find it quite baffling how we keep getting characters from movies which will be forgotten in a couple of years or good actors but from roles where no one really remenber even the character name, but no one have given a shot to making the most beloved characters from a cult film that has got a huge following more than 25 years after its release.

Besides, as have been stated before they're much more interesting from a visual point of view that just another man in a suit...

This has been kicked around casually for a long time but I want to see if there is real interest for these guys. It would be a break from the suits, gangsters, killers and cowboys that many people have been asking for. Outfits and accessories that are different than the norm and are more light-hearted and fun than the usual fare

I know who the group of long time supporters for this idea are, but if we get more voices to join in, these could be a real possibility

The Dread Pirate & The Spaniard

Or....two bad sculpts of Antonio Banderas to those who don't know The Princess Bride :wink1:

If you want to go comedic, how about 'The Naughty Boy and The Woman'

Princess Bride!!!!! It's not imposible, it's necessary. ( for my detolf ). And Cooper from Interstellar could be cool.

But Princess Bride! I think those are a gold mine for iminime.

They have a very worthy spot in the 1/6 world and they are way overdue. As you said, it's a great cult classic with a big cult following.

It's a tell tale sign of a property's popularity when licensed and/or unlicensed companies are making collectibles. Braveheart was a real rarity because anything that would usually sell that well would most likely have had some merchandise made at some point. Even if it's not the type of collectible that would be popular on this forum, it would minimally be T-shirts, mugs and that kind of jazz. But the swordsmen are right in the wheelhouse of this collecting community's culture. They've had statues, 7" figures, book ends, bobble heads and prop replicas amongst other merchandise created already.

They've been a suggestion in the Wishlist threads that's gotten fair support for awhile. I hope we can voice up and make it their time now

:lol:lol

But honestly, if you don't know The Princess Bride you should give it a watch. It's one of those 80's flicks that I wore out at least one VCR copy back in the day. Maybe I'm speaking as someone who was branded by the movie when I was at that right age, but I think it's charm holds up toady, even for an adult first time watcher

Excellent first post sir!! :lol

Welcome to the show :duff

I wouldn't mind Fezzik either :wave

I'd like Fezzik too but I think that production of a quality piece would be rough

I've seen the film....a long time ago...and only the once. I was aware it had developed a reputation as a bit of a cult film over the years, but I never realised it had such a large fan base. At the age I watched it, sarcasm crossed with cynicism was my default mode, so I found the absurdity of it all to be overly forced. Maybe I should revisit it and give it a second try now I'm only a semi sarcastic sod.

You should give it another watch. It's not forced at all, it's just a light-hearted flick with a lot of charm. A story of wuv, twue wuv. You strike me as someone somewhat close to my age (38), and many people in that age bracket grew up on this flick. Of course it stretches outside of that generation too, and has reached some of the young buck fans around here like AJK :lol :wink1:

:lol:lol

All we need is someone to produce a 13½" fat/muscular body and we're golden!

Actually, it's too bad that there was never a KO (to my knowledge) of the TTM20. It would still probably be too much work for Iminime to customize it for a full run of Fezziks, but it's a good foundation to build on; the biggest body available, sculpted forearms and muscle chest piece.

I'm in that age bracket and Princess Bride is among the classic films close to my heart. Love that movie. Sure would be awesome to have Fezzik but I understand it would be hard to make him in 1/6 with his body proportion. I would want either him or Andre the Giant in my collection. I can dream if I want, right? :lol

He's an icon that I would want in my collection, and TPB is his only movie appearance that I'd want a figure of so in many ways it would be a really great and unique piece.

I'm dreaming with you :lol

I was going to start Daredevil tonight but I may have to watch this again for the thousandth time

Ohh yeah...am going to pop in the dvd and watch TPB while laying in bed. :hi5:

While I understand they have limitations regarding what they can successfully tailor but several characters not in Suits or Stetson can be made with more simplistic tailoring:

Gibson: Mad Max
Diesel: Riddick

Stallone: Rambo / Cobra
Connery: Marko / Bond - suit exception
Norris: Braddock
Etc.etc......

Riddick ! That's a long time dream, since i saw Pitch Black. Love the characther and his looks. Only Masterworks can nail it properly. Come on, fans of the furyan, show your interest !
